We are planning to rent a car on our upcoming Disney trip. We are going to Kennedy Space Center for a day. I tried searching the Sunpass website but found it less than helpful. I know we will encounter tolls. Are there any cashless tolls on the journey from WDW (specifically POFQ) to Kennedy Space Center? I would prefer to pay cash for them.

Yes

Cash is King ............ Watch for overhead signs Pointing Exit Right for Cash Pay

If you take FL 417 to 528, all tolls have a cash option. Two $1.50 tolls on 417, one $1.00 toll on 528, and one $1.25 toll on 528.

FYI: SunPass is the vendor that provides the payment of tolls. They do not own or operate the Beachline Expressway between Orlando and the Kennedy Space Center area. That road is run by the Central Florida Expressway Authority.

Basically, you were going to the SunPass website looking for information on how to avoid using SunPass. It's not surprising they didn't have that information. (For the record, I'm not chastising you. If I didn't live in Florida, I probably would assume that SunPass was the toll road operator. I'm just providing an explanation.)

Ah! That makes sense. I'm from Maine. We just have EZ pass.

Thank you for the replies. I'm glad to see that things haven't changed since our last trip out to KSC (several years ago)

No, all mainline tolls on the route have staffed toll booths.
If they're all staff, does that mean they give change? Or do I have to have exact change? I thought I read somewhere that they only accpeted coins?

They will give Change

Look for the Correct Well signed Toll Booth ........ Cash & Receipt / change

Yes, there's always at least one lane open to give change & receipts.

There's usually also one or more coin lanes, so if you don't like waiting in line, you can toss the correct number of quarters in the basket.

I get it now. Thanks!
