Starting to organize some stuff I may need for our cruise in October. Wondering if anyone has tried the h2o products on board and how is it? Are they generous with restocking?

You're going to get mixed reviews. I use them and love them! I happened to see our room steward and mentioned I was getting low and he left plenty of extras! I try to get by with the basics when it comes to toiletries when we travel, so the less I have to pack, the better.

Another option is to use the spa showers when getting ready. They have Elemis products...I liked them too. I'm not picky about hair products. I don't color my hair and have no chemical treatments, so I just whatever is available.

Another lover of the H2O products. Elemis - not so much. We've always had plenty of product available.

I liked the products. If I left them above the sink (where they put them), they did get replenished. If i put them in the shower (used them), a new set was above the sink. They actually last very long. 7 night cruise and I had leftovers, even though I only had one restock for 2 people.

I think the Elemis products at the spa are alright, but I absolutely love the H20 Spa line that they have in the staterooms! These are the same ones they use at the Grand Floridian at WDW. The Sea Salt smell of the shampoo mixed with incredible silkiness of the conditioner is something I look forward to on a DCL cruise.

The shampoo and conditioner wasn't right for my hair. Our room host wasn't good at restocking- maybe once over 7 nights with 4 people in our room. I had my own with me so it wasn't too big of an issue, but slightly annoying given the cost of the cruise.

Just be aware it is shampoo conditioner and soap only. My stateroom host restocked plenty when she kept asking was there anything she could do and I said 'extra shampoo is always good' and also left me shower gel and solar relief gel which I think is normally concierge only.

We always request H2O when we sail concierge. Elemis products mess with my hair. Did not like them at all.
Yeah, I found that I really can't use Elemis on our Holland America cruises. Really dries out my skin and hair. Guess that's a plus for not going Concierge on DCL?

I know, I could still ask for H2O, but I'm not that much a "please can I have...." person.

Like a PP said, mixed reviews on this question.

I really like the H2O shower gel. But I have highlighted hair and the H2O shampoo is far too drying, especially when you're already dealing with chlorine and salt water. The conditioner is fine but not intensive enough for highlighted or bleached hair, IMO. I'm sure everyone with colored or treated hair is different though! I suggest if you have a brand you use at home for any specific reason (dryness, color protection, whatever) that you bring it with you. If you're not picky at home then the H2O will probably be great for you. I totally understand about wanting to pack as little as possible!

7 night cruise on the Wonder. It wasn't replenished every day, but we still came home with 4 each--shampoo, conditioner, lotion; 4 soap bars--2 large, 2 small. We went through 1-2 bottles shampoo/conditioner for 4 of us during the week. They are 2 oz bottles. I LOVE the H2O products, love the smell. As someone else said, they're used at the Grand Floridian (and the villas at Grand Floridian where I last used them.)

I was so sad when Concierge switched to Elemis from H2O. But unlike some others...I am a little more high maintenance and requested H2O from the staff. Not a problem...and received lots of it (my hair tangles easily and H2O is better for that). I asked Danny about the change and he didn't know the reason. Makes no sense to me from a storage perspective but eh, what do I know?

I think it's the illusion that Elemis is more "high class" than H2O. But I don't think it really matters, as long as you find something that works for you.

I like H2O soaps but not there hair products. I purchased them once while staying at VWL and found that there products really dry out my hair after a lot of use.

Our last cruise was in 2007 and I can't remember if the H2O products have much of a smell. I can't handle strong smells - even if they're supposed to be pleasant.

I bring my own shampoo and conditioner for my hair as the H20 (though I love the smell) doesn't do very well with my hair type (highlighted and drys out quick)
The kids and my husband use it though and our host/hostess always seems to leave us more than enough to not only get us thru the cruise, but so that we can bring some home too. :)

I will shower in the locker room if we are running late getting ready for dinner to clear out at least one of us who may or may not take a long time. lol The shampoo and conditoner is okay and since I don't want to bring my shampoo and conditioner along, I will use it.

I loved using the product provided, and they are always generous with everything! But don't forget any special soaps you may need, because they really only have the basics!
