Also, when you go to Disney's investor relations page and see a #ThanksShanghai photo used as the banner, it tends to dull my enthusiasm for live posting financial news.

Between them, Iger and McCarthy (Not surprisingly, Staggs did not participate) mentioned #ThanksShanghai 6 times. Iger said he had been, and said he was excited about it's grand opening three different times (each time using a different adverb before "excited"). As for domestic operations:
"Attendance at our domestic parks was comparable to the second quarter last year, and per capita spending was up 8% on higher admissions, food and beverage, and merchandise spending. Per room spending at our domestic hotels was up 5% and occupancy was down 1 percentage point to 88%."
These numbers aren't bad but they show why Disney is trying to awaken the summer.
