On November 26, 1825, the first college social fraternity, Kappa Alpha, was formed at Union College in Schenectady, N.Y.

On November 26, 1940, the half-million Jews of Warsaw, Poland, were forced by the Nazis to live within a walled ghetto.

On November 26, 1942, the film ''Casablanca,'' starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, had its world premiere at the Hollywood Theater in New York.

On November 26, 1992, the British government announced that Queen Elizabeth II had volunteered to start paying taxes on her personal income, and would take her children off the public payroll.

Here's a little addition you your Casablanca fact.

Yesterday, the Red Sox hired a new Gerneral Manager. He is 28 year old Theo Epstien. Theo's paternal grandfather, Phillip and his twin brither, Julius, wrote the script for Casablanca some 60 years ago.

Casablanca was such a good movie.:) I feel in love with Bogey in that movie.:) I even named a dog I once had Bogey because of him.:)

Thanks, DEB:D .......

Very interesting today, Deb. A mixture of happy (Casablanca) and sad (Warsaw ghetto).

Thanks for doing this :)

Which, strangely enough, predates the production of the first Budweiser by 51 years.......suggesting at least the direction of the cause-effect relationship. ;)
