On November 7, 1917, Russia's Bolshevik Revolution took place as forces led by Vladimir Ilyich Lenin overthrew the provisional government of Alexander Kerensky.

On November 7, 1929, the Museum of Modern Art in New York City opened to the public.

On Novebmer 7, 1991, basketball star Magic Johnson announced that he had tested positive for the AIDS virus and was retiring.

On November 7, 2000 Hillary Rodham Clinton became the first first lady to win public office, defeating Republican Rick Lazio for a U.S. Senate seat from New York.

Wow, that was 11 years ago for Magic. I saw him last week on, I think, Hollywood Squares and thought boy does he look healthy.

Don't hear much about Hillary these days, do we?

Thanks, Deb,

Thank you, Deb....:D

As always, you are more than welcome, Heather.

Kathy, I believe all the Democratic Senators are officially in mourning today (or in shock . . . )
And yes, I think Magic is very lucky to have been in excellent health when he was diagnosed, and to have been around when protease inhibitors first hit the market, which has significantly improved the outlook for those infected with HIV.
