September 25th 2007 (Day 13)

Steve was still feeling very rough today and didn't feel much like leaving the room so I left him to rest and went to Epcot on my own. I had a CS breakfast (strawberry pancakes with bacon) then took my first Disney bus ride of the trip! I had a really nice time just wandering around slowly taking in the atmosphere, not to mention loads of pics!

I decided to try the 'calm' Mission Space side (fun but I prefer the 'intense' one!)

Then Ellen's Energy Adventure (thought it was rubbish, then again I can't stand Ellen..!)

Next I made my way slowly round the World Showcase, taking the time to explore all the countries properly which i've always wanted to do before but never got the chance (always had people with me who wanted to rush around!) Of course I took another loads of pics..

Anyone still reading?! It was nice to have a day to myself without having others to consider.. I'm not sure i'd want to do an entire trip solo but I enjoyed 'my day' I got a rainbow kaki gori to snack on as well as a little Canadian beaver for Steve and a pirates T-shirt and Mickey necklace and earrings for myself then decided to get the boat to MGM as the parade would be on soon and I wanted to see it.

Anyone know what this is? I haven't a clue!

At MGM I bought myself a cheesy pretzel and a marshmallow M&M stick then found a spot to watch the parade. Some improv actors were 'working' the crowd and one of them remembered me for my tattoos, I guess they're not something you see every day!

It was soon time for the parade, so I gave my camera some use again:

When the show was over I got the bus back to POFQ. Steve seemed a lot better and had eaten some lunch (by the way he recommends the food court milkshakes, you can get any flavour the ice-cream comes in!) We chilled for a bit then ready for dinner, we had an ADR at the California Grill. We waited a short while to be seated and were thrilled to get a table for two right by the window!

For starters I had the watermelon salad and Steve had the veggie flatbread and for mains I have the red snapper fillet and Steve had a entree sized portion of the goats cheese ravioli starter. We both had the dessert with the chocolate centre, though my notes don't seem to say what it was exactly. We both really enjoyed our meal and felt it was the best 2 credit meal of the holiday, I think snapper has to be the best fish i've ever tasted. The meal was made even better by the amazing view and, totally unintended by me, we saw the 8pm Wishes fireworks! (ADR was for 7pm) I honestly couldn't have planned it this way, we were just very lucky I think! It's a fantastic holiday memory..

After dinner we went to Downtown Disney..

Sadly Jake and Elwood were nowhere to be found

We decided to pay a visit to the Adventurer's Club which was a lot of fun, definitely one to revisit!

Next we wandered to the shops and Steve bought himself a few Lego keyrings and I got some scrapbooking bits from the World Of Disney store before calling it a night, it was pretty late by then!

Wall of lego men, the assistant knew exactly how many there was!

The view from the Grill looks fantastic - never a place that we have looked at going but from your photo's it might be worth a visit - very lucky to get a seat by the window.

Your photos today were brilliant as are your wishes photos. Can't believe that you managed to get such a good view without any planning. Just goes to show.
