to Round 3...And Beyond! Moms Panel Hopefuls and Friends

I agree that I'm amazed at how wonderful everyone is about cheering each other on. I feel honored to be among such great people.

I wanted to say my thoughts are with those in the path of Sandy. Stay dry and safe. They have canceled school here tomorrow in anticipation of the winds and possible power outages. I'm really hoping we don't lose power as we were without power for 6 nights last year after the freak snow storm. It was no fun. Thinking happy thoughts for everyone affected!

Great sentiments, everyone! When I first joined the waiting room, I was a little nervous that there might be some poor attitudes, but boy was I ever wrong! You ladies and men are all very special people and the MP would be lucky to have any one of you!

I know that I will be so very disappointed if I don't move on, but can't wait to be here to support all of those who move to R3 and beyond.

And please be safe with the storm! I'm glad they are making the moves to close schools and transportation early.

I know what you mean Liz! Everyone here is great, and they make the waiting so much fun! :thumbsup2

It is going to be bittersweet, seeing who of us moves to the finals, and who will end their journeys for this year. I seem to have a more positive attitude now, really excited to see if they want to get to know me better, and possibly make me a part of the MP family! There are so many on DIS that would make amazing MP's. Good luck to everyone! :cheer2:

And stay safe with this Frankenstorm on the way. They haven't chosen to close schools here yet, but we are not supposed to see any of it until late tomorrow afternoon. Let's hope this thing fizzles out!

nevermind, it didn't work! How do I get them to show up? I tried using the URL from my facebook pics.

I can never get the Facebook link to work, I usually use photobucket and copy the forum link to make it work. Hope this helps!

Something a little off topic...

Have any of you read the experiences some people had yesterday on the Fantasy Cruise? Apparently the ship was trying to follow the end of Sandy until it slowed down and they were caught in it. Furniture, glass, etc was flying all over the place, people were rolling out of their beds, the pool water ended up in the elevators... I can't imagine!!! Now I'm terrified because we have our next cruise on the Fantasy booked for the first week in September next year which is peak hurricane season. I planned on purchasing travel insurance and thought the worst that would happen is that our ports or schedule might change. Boy, was I wrong!! I don't want to put my kids or myself through something so horrific. I want to change the dates but anything before June is SO expensive!! What would you guys do?

I board the Dream next Sunday!! I'm not sure which wait is worse? Plus hubby is out of town (across the country) finalizing a job Application process. 3 big waits this week!!!!!!
I know the how the cruise wait will end (I'm picturing champagne on the verandah)
Pretty sure I know how the hubs will do with his interview (I'm picturing champagne in the snow)
Now....will the champagne be for me or others for #wdwmoms???

I'm thrilled so many great people have gotten to round 2!!!!

I give up! Off to watch Amazing Race. I will hop back on later tonight! :thumbsup2

I read that too! I could not imagine how terrifying that would be! I do think that experience is few and far between though, and by purchasing trip insurance you can cancel if the weather seems bad before sailing.

I saw parts of the video and oh my goodness I would have been sick!!! I hope that everyone was okay!

I guess we probably won't hear anything tonight, but hopefully soon!! Good luck everyone, you guys have been so much fun during the wait game.

Well, just wanted to let you all know that our most-fabulous, Unofficial List of Hopefuls is complete again. Thank you to everyone who took a moment to re-fill those spots. I only had to go in and fill about 10 spaces... not bad for a list so long. So, I locked the list again... I would hate to lose all that data!!! If anyone needs an edit, just PM me.

And when the news is released... PM me, so I can put Mickey Ears in your Round 3 column! ::MickeyMo

I really hope this storm does not affect the Round 3 announcements, but it is way more important for everyone to be safe. This year''s new panelists will certainly have a story to tell about the selection process and the big Halloween storm.

Have a magical week everyone!:) :yay: :) :yay:

I'm kind of thinking they will hold off. It wouldn't be fair to send emails tomorrow and only give 48 hours to respond, or something like that. My guess is Thursday at the earliest.

Evenin', everyone! Haven't had much time to check in this weekend, so I'm a little behind, but just wanted to say that I am thinking of all of you in the hurricane path and hope you all stay safe!

Definitely ready to hear the news and I can't wait to find out which of you moves on to the next round! I think everyone here will make a GREAT addition to the panel :) I'm starting to doubt myself the closer we get to the announcement, but as my DH keeps telling me - "It's not over til it's over!" Sending pixie dust and positive thoughts to all of you for the week ahead :wizard:

Oh, and I'm also having problems with the Dis iPhone app. It jolted DH and I out of a deep sleep at about 2am on Saturday night in the hotel. There were so many notifications I thought the email had gone out, but no. DH was less than pleased :sad2:
