to Round 3...And Beyond! Moms Panel Hopefuls and Friends

Well, just wanted to let you all know that our most-fabulous, Unofficial List of Hopefuls is complete again. Thank you to everyone who took a moment to re-fill those spots. I only had to go in and fill about 10 spaces... not bad for a list so long. So, I locked the list again... I would hate to lose all that data!!! If anyone needs an edit, just PM me.

And when the news is released... PM me, so I can put Mickey Ears in your Round 3 column! ::MickeyMo

Have a magical week everyone!:) :yay: :) :yay:

Thank you so much for keeping this list. I can't believe how long it is! Most of the Round 3 hopefuls must be here on the board.

Can I ask a favor? Could you post/pin the list to the first post in this board. To find the list I go back to the Round 2 board, and that is getting harder to find.

Or just tell me how I can find the list easier. I am sure as soon as the Round 3 announcements get here there will be a lot of interest in the list to see who made it.

Thanks again for doing this for all!! 2014 -- Here we come!! :cheer2:

Hey everyone! I was thinking this morning about R3 and it really hit me that most of us are going to end up disappointed. I just want to let you all know that whoever makes it through to the next round and on to the panel,!

Yes, it's been wonderful & it's great that a group of women (& men) can build each other up, rather than knock each other down. Disney definitely bonds people..:wizard:

Something a little off topic...
Now I'm terrified because we have our next cruise on the Fantasy booked for the first week in September next year which is peak hurricane season. I planned on purchasing travel insurance and thought the worst that would happen is that our ports or schedule might change. Boy, was I wrong!! I don't want to put my kids or myself through something so horrific. I want to change the dates but anything before June is SO expensive!! What would you guys do?

I think you should take the cruise in Sept as planned, with the travel protection & enjoy it. The chances are few & far between of a hurricane ruining it, it would be more likely a family member get sick or miss for another reason (u know what I mean). You can always opt out if necessary, but you might also opt out on a wonderful cruise that could've been filled with wonderful (good) vacation memories. It goes both ways!:thumbsup2:rolleyes: Think about this: Hurricane season is usually June-Nov, prime vacation months....ENJOY, don't stress--its Disney.:woohoo:

P.S. I received First Place for my Mardi Gras Wreath at Louisiana State Fair, woot!

Congratulations on first place!!!!

Another day with no R3 news but on the bright side it's another day that I'm still in the running so I'll hang on to that for now.

For what it's worth I don't think they would delay sending out any notification due to the storm although they could extend the amount of time people have to respond/schedule interviews. Seems to me however that the news may take a couple more days to come as there are likely some hoops to jump through to get a large number of notifications sent out, lists to check and double check, etc.

Like I have read from many of you, I am doubting myself a bit as the days go by but really we've all done our best and its really a matter of the personal taste of the reviewers (including PR people who are likely weighing in on our fit to certain demographics) at this point.

Each day that passes without news means we are still potential panelists, which is better than conformation of not making it to R3. At least that's the Pollyanna-ish way to look at it.

Congratulations on first place!!!!

I really appreciate it! I was so :hyper: I couldn't stop :dancer: & then my whole family party: (minus the balloon, ADD cotton candy, candy apple, funnel cake, giant corn dogs, all kinds of lemonade, cheese fries, hot dogs & no lie on way home from the fair, KFC family spread. Obviously my family isn't watching carbs---well more watching the carbs go in us!):rotfl2: I'm feeling myself again & it feels great!:woohoo:

Good morning waiting room!!!! Welcome to week three!! Hope everyone's weekend went well.

Good luck to all you east coasters as you brace for Frankenstorm!! Be safe and let us know, when you can, that you are safe.

I'm kind of thinking they will hold off. It wouldn't be fair to send emails tomorrow and only give 48 hours to respond, or something like that. My guess is Thursday at the earliest.

I agree :( It's not fair to the people in the path of the storm. I just hope people don't lose power for too long, otherwise there could be a longer delay. :confused3

I wonder if maybe they will take in to consideration where the round 3 people live? Meaning, if the selected are away from the storm they will notify those, and then give time for the others to recover from the storm? Just so they can stay track with phone interviews, and then not delay training? Just a theory, although most of my theories have been wrong! :thumbsup2

And, they could call people instead - everyone has a cell phone these days, and unless the cell towers go down, which is rare, they could still contact us.

Most importantly right now we just want people to be safe.

Hi... the first post is Amy18's. She is the only one who can edit it, but I sent her a PM with the request. When I go directly to the page, I just start typing 2013 into my url field, and my browser takes me there. But every browser is different. You can certainly bookmark the page. The URL is set & won't change, even after edits and page additions. :lovestruc

Here is the link again: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AhlonQpFn9fpdGdUSEVSeFN2V3hibEQ3d1lDS2JMRlE&pli=1#gid=0

They don't know our cell phones or where we live, do they?? It's all becoming a blur at this point, but I don't remember giving them that information? :confused3

To all our Nor'easters on this board... STAY SAFE!

It should be on your profile to your sign-on on the WDW website. If not, I would update your profile. Every time you book a vacay online it should be updated anyway. And, if you didn't have a sign-on when you applied for the MP it would have asked for some of that, I believe. I would suggest anyone who hasn't updated their profile to go in and do so, just in case. They can tell if you've been to WDW the past year too, as long as you have stayed on property or have an annual pass.

So true - It's so amazing to be a part of such a supportive group. I'm blessed to have found you all! :cloud9:

Congratulations, Dawn!! That's wonderful news - especially well deserved after you weren't feeling well. Are you able to share a photo? Hopefully more things to celebrate this week!!! :thumbsup2

We're starting to feel the wind here - everyone stay safe and well!

Laura

I just added to page 1 now :thumbsup2

Thanks for adding the link to our Hopefuls List on the first post. I am hoping the notices go out before the storm hits, and then interviews can always be arranged for later in the week. We still have a bit of time this morning. Good luck everyone.
:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Dawn, please post a photo if you can. Would love to see it!! I don't suppose there was a hidden Mickey in there somewhere???!!! :hyper:

Good morning guys!! It's starting to get windy here in NY but no rain yet. I hope emails come within the next day or two because the first email they send is just a notification if you've made it to R3 or not. Then, another day or so later they send another email with a form you have to fill out with phone numbers and such. Then after that, someone from Disney calls you to schedule the actual interview. So if we hear today, we'd probably get email #2 on Wednesday, and phone calls on Thursday to set up interviews for next week. I hope we find out today!!

Good Morning gang!!!!!! :grouphug: What a crazy day this is going to be!!! I've been watching the news all morning, you guys on the east coast better check in with us from time to time because I'm worried about you all! Sandy is going to be a real mess. They are even predicting 25 foot waves on Lake Michigan (about an hour from my house) which seems CRAZY!!!! DH was originally supposed to be in VA this week on business, but luckily he didn't try to go. My MIL is stuck in WDW, she was supposed to fly back to MA yesterday but the flights are canceled. Everybody batten down the hatches and stay safe. They are saying we might even lose power here due to the high winds!

Dawn I want to see your wreath!!! ;)
