To photobomb, or not to photobomb. That is the question!

To photobomb, or not to photobomb?

  • Age 18-29: Sure Photobombing can be fun!

  • Age 18-29: No way! That's so rude!

  • Age 30-45: Fun times! I don't have a problem with it.

  • Age 30-45: Grow up!

  • Age 45-65: Hey if its in good taste why not?

  • Age 45-65: Don't mess with my memories!

  • Over 65: Life is too short! Bombs away!

  • Over 65: How cruel!

I wish this was a poll...maybe someone could post one I would but don't know how. Something to show the age ranges of those that do find/don't find photo bombing acceptable. I wonder if the younger generations are cooker about it that others or if it's mixed. Personally I wouldn't care for it, wouldn't do it. Now an accidentally walk by/ through sure no biggie bound to happen. Also I don't photoshop so couldn't remove the pesky person.

The Disney pics posted I think are ok, not the type of PB I expect most would do.

Your wish is my command!

I completely agree! It's very rude, immature, and self-centered.

I think it is too. If people think it is clever and cute, they should do it to their own group, not strangers.

If they don't know how someone would react to it, then they are just having fun at someone else's expense.

So not growing up equates to messing with the pictures and memories of others. Sad. Somehow I don't think that was the intent with keeping a child's heart.

Hahaha... I'm so surprised by all the negative responses.... Personally I think WDW is the best place on earth to photobomb!!! C'mon, laugh a little! We've all got digitial cameras now days... you look at the picture and notice the photobomb idiot and take another one! Its not like it really messes up your memories! I laugh when I get photobomed... I'm like ahhh they got me!

Love those. I've had photos we've taken with someone in the background doing the same thing. No offense taken..its all in good fun.

What's 'good fun' for you, may not be for the next person. Which is why I feel as though purposefully photo bombing comes across as self-absorbed and full of self entitlement.

You like photo bombing? AWESOME. Great for you! Let/encourage people to do it when you're posing with your family and then have a chuckle about it at home!

It's an entirely different scenario, however, to force what you deem good fun on another family who most likely feel differently.

If the majority of posts on this thread are indicative of the general populous of WDW, it's not appreciated.

Why should a family have to? Why is it always up to the people just trying to mind their own business and enjoy their own business adapt to the idiots in the world? Let alone situations like this where people actually justify being only concerned for their fun in disrupting others.

But others don't laugh or notice the photobomb at the time or have a chance to take another picture. It can mess up something important to someone. Why take that chance to have your fun?

I get people not wanting their photos "ruined"...but it's photobombing. The OP isn't going on about kicking puppies. In this day and age of digital photography, the person using the camera will most likely check the photo (and might even check with whom they're taking the photo OF) to see if they got the shot. If they notice the "photobomber"....delete.

IDK, I guess I just look at it differently. To each their own.

We had the best photo/video bomb last year at EPCOT.. We were getting our photo with Pluto and the photo pass photographer mentioned something about Minnie being in the background and I looked over and she was off to the side waiving. We got home and watches our video and as we were setting up with Pluto, Minnie was walking and dancing behind us! (The character handler was video raping with our recorder so dh could get in so none if us new until the video was watched!)

So as long as someone isn't be abused all is good. Really? That is the way you treat others in life? Or you want to be treated?

Why not just leave other people to enjoy their trip? Why interfere or make heir picture about you?

I just don't understand where the "fun" factor comes in for the photobomber? :confused3 It's not like you're ever going to see the end result of your efforts. You're not going to get the opportunity to share a good laugh with subjects of your intrusion. Where do the good times come in other than the smug satisfaction of having inserted yourself in someone's personal photo without their notice?

I'm agree with the others who feel that it's not funny. It's self-centered and childish. Very much like the 6 year-old who holds up his fingers behind another child in the class picture to make bunny ears. The prankster gets a little chuckle out of it. The victim may not.
