To package, or not to package. That is the question.

I'm hoping to book 2 rooms - one for my family and I and one for my parents. I know I must book seperately if I want to book online. Is this the case when calling too? Will they not put 2 rooms on one reservation for 4 adults and 1 child? Are AAA discounts available on WTC packages?

ALSO, I'm really confused about something. I don't really get what Mousesavers.com has to say about the new packages being a good deal the longer you stay. In my research so far, I've found the hotel (cost per night) stays the same no matter how many nights you are staying. Mousesavers claims the longer you stay, the cheaper it is.
:confused3
I'm not getting it. I've priced booking my room and purchasing tickets separately for 7 nights at the WL during value season, and I'm getting the same prices I get when pricing both as a package. Am I missing something somewhere?

I know there is an "extra" with the package (photo pass), but I don't know enough about it to know if that is a really "cool thing" or not. Can anyone share their opinion on this?

The only REAL reason I can see for booking a package is for the dining plan. I feel this is a fairly good deal. And from what little I've read, several of you think so too.

THANK YOU!

On our last trip I did not book a package, but the new package was not out yet. What I do know is, the price of your park tickets is basically what goes down the longer you stay. So it costs very little more to stay 4 nights vs. say, 6 or 7 nights. It is a big break if you think you can stay longer, and I do think adding the plus meal plan is a good deal.

If you eat in the parks at all, it is pretty easy to spend $35 a day on meals for adults and easy to do the same for the $10 per child add on. We could spend that on one sit down meal a day, and then when you add it counter service and snacks, that does seem like a savings to me. Just figure out what works best for your family and your budget.

Thanks! That's what I thought.

Anyone know about the AAA discount with packages? I'm eligible, if they offer this. Can I book it online and then call with my reservation number and obtain the discount?
