We have kind of made a decision on this but I am still not 100% and really need other people opinions on what they'd do.

Me and my DH and done Florida many time and this trip is mainly about our daughter who will be 22 months and we are taking her for the first time.

We have done Universal/IOA every trip before, the last time being 2013 before the extended Wizarding world opened. We originally had just a day scheduled in to do it this year but now we are wondering if to bother. Its going to be over £200 when we only really want to do 1 day, 2 at the most if we take it slower. The majority of the rides we'd have to child swap and my daughter wouldnt really be able to do much at all.

Would you just leave it until next time (Probably Summer 2018 next)?

My friends took their Son in 2014 when he was two, dropped Universal off completely as there is no value for money.

Even when they go this year and he is 4, they are not doing it as it just doesn't seem to work for under 8s very well.

I'd pass. My children were 8 and 11 before they got any real pleasure out of Universal. At 13 and 16 they were in their element. So you've got years yet!!!! Toddlers are tiring and get tired. Chill out at WDW

We skipped with our girls in 2012 when they were 8 & 6, they were just too small for rides and it was pre-HP, or at least before they were into HP.
Definitely going next time though when they will be 13 & 11 :-)

We love Universal and now she is 10 DD loves Universal. When she was little just disney trips taken at a more leisurely pace suited us.

I wouldn't bother either although I've always taken my DS from being 5. He wanted to go on all the big rides and wasn't tall enough! You'll find far more to do at Disney with a very small child.

We never took dd until she was a bit older, Disney suited us just fine and it's nice not to fit too much in and just take it easier :)
