Just got this in an email...a blonde/Disney joke:

Subject: Passwords - one of the better!!!!!!!!!

During a recent password audit by our company, it was found that a
blonde-haired woman was using the following password:

MickeyMinniePlutoHueyLouieDeweyDonaldGoofy

When asked why such a big password, she said she was told it had to be at
least 8 characters.

PS: if you're blonde and don't get it, just move on and don't give it
another thought...

Evening ladies...guess what I have on my kitchen table???? That's right, pumpkin cheesecake. I'm trying to see how long I can resist it.

JOCA, I just use the recipe on the back of the lasagne box. I just tweak it a little. I use either ground turkey or I buy italian sausage and take it out of its casing. I then brown the meat with choppen onions and garlic. I buy a big bag of frozen chopped spinach, and thaw it under hot water, squeeze out the extra water, and mix it into the ricotta mixture. Beware though, the recipe on the box makes huge portions! I usually end up making two batches, eating one, and freezing one.

I got lost in a parking lot today...I was out and thought I'd take the back road home. There used to be a service road leading out of the lot...well, when I got there, it hadn't been plowed yet. I figured, hey, it must be plowed SOMEWHERE, so let's go! Um, no, the end of slushie mess was closed off. So I turned around and tried to leave the way I came...but I couldn't really see it. I ended up following the "road" and came upon a snowbank! I had to turn around AGAIN and kinda off road it back to the parking lot. I was so glad to see pavement!

Oh, but I did get my holiday cards out today! And my postal lady reprimanded me! She said, "You don't have your packages out yet!". I was surprised that she remembers me. I told her so and she said "you're always so polite...I remember you". What a nice thing to hear!

Step away from the cheesecake....

....and send it to me.

BTW-I'm leaving on Saturday morning-early so I will be on and off the rest of the week.

Good morning TKers!

Have to work today and I'm a little nervous about it. I'm subbing for the Art teacher in the morning and then subbing for a para in Kindergarten for the PM. But, that is not what I'm nervous about. I'm nervous because while I'm subbing for the Art teacher the school will be having a Lock Down Drill. I have to make sure all the shades are drawn, the door is locked and that the kids stay silent until it is over. Usually the subs don't have a key to the classroom but we are signing them out this morning and then returning them later. Big help that is if there was a lock down for real. Not sure how they should handle that one.

I hope everyone has a good day!

Bopsmom: Let me know when "we" arrive.

Pikester, you raise a really good point (about the keys in the event of a real lockdown). Perhaps you should ask the Principal that question.

I remember when I was in 1st and 2nd grade, we used to have Air Raid Drills. We would stand in the hall against the wall, with our arms bent up over our heads. I was only 6 or 7 years old, but I remember wondering what good that was going to do if someone dropped a bomb on the school. In 3rd grade we moved, and my new school only did Fire Drills, which at least made sense!

It's so sad that kids today have to deal with the threats of violence in the school. Just another example of the decay of our society. *sigh*:confused3

Good morning! Sunny and frigid as predicted...

Too late Bopsmom! The cheesecake has been violated and it was yummy! And so excited for your trip! How wonderful it will be to spend your holidays with Disney magic.

Pikester...good luck today. It is crazy to think that these sort of drills are standard for kids today. But on the other hand, I'd like to think that kids would be prepared well for such unthinkable situations. Its rather humbling to think how difficult it must be to be a child these days.

I did some online shopping last week and I'm tracking my deliveries!

I got the Glee soundtracks the other night...I've been singing like a fool since last night. I'm sure the other drivers think I'm insane, but its been a long time since I've enjoyed music so much. Super excited that Glee was nominated for the Golden Globes too!

As long as I'm embarrassing myself silly, I watched Julie and Julia and I've been talking a bit like Julia Child ever since. Making my lasagne, I was demonstating my cooking skills to my cats in my best Julia voice.

MagiKitty That's nice yet sad that you're remembered because you are polite. I can see you demonstrating to your cats. :rotfl2:

I remember air raid drills too.
BKMETV funny joke.

Magikitty: I meant to post this morning the answer to where I found the chocolate covered Ritz crackers. I found them right next to the regular Ritz crackers but they are in a smaller box and are only out for a limited time. I did not see them at Walmart but found them at Hannaford Supermarket.

The lockdown went well except for the fact that the teacher next door did not lock her classroom before she left to work with kids on another floor. Because of that, the door between her room and the art room (where I was) was able to be opened. There is no way to lock that door. I mentioned this to the principal and she said that the Art teacher and the other teacher will have to tag team the rooms and double check both doors. The kids did a great job though.

Hey all! Just a quick hello (need to change a stinky diaper :scared1: ) but did anyone see that Roy Disney passed away. So sad.

LITC, I just saw that and came on to post it.

MK, I can just picture you singing your heart out! And Santa is bringing me "Julie and Julia" so I will probably be using that same voice in a little over a week!

Duke has a low functioning thyroid, so he started on medication for that today. The test for Cushings was borderline, but since all the other labs are totally normal (which they would not be with Cushings) the vet feels he is fine. We go back in a month for a recheck, and we'll redo the test for Cushings in 2-3 months. I am SOOOO relieved! The vet says within the week, Duke will have more energy and will start losing weight. And he expects to see "the old Duke" when we go in next month. Yay!

Found out today that DS12 has a girlfriend! They are "going out", whatever that means these days. All I know is she texts him alot, and says stuff like I love u. YIKES! I am SO not ready for this!

Atleast they're just "going out" and not "hooking up"!

Hey Guys!:yay::yay:

Ya'll have made it to Texas safe and sound and just in time for supper. You all will be packed on Friday night. :santa: :dance3:

Thought I'd post the picture my Mom sent me today....I think it's funny

Thanks to your fast action!:goodvibes

You've got good PO service there! No one looked like they needed Dramamine so, I guess riding in the bin was OK with everyone.

Good morning ladies! Another clear, sunny, brisk day. I'm so glad for the days that I can go out and not fear snow.

I saw that Roy Disney died yesterday. How sad. Its incredible how much he looked like his Uncle Walt.

Yeah! We made it to Texas! How many times have we visited WDW? Did we get annual passes yet?

Wendy....I am freaking out too that DS has a girlfriend! He's too young! And texting "I luv u" is crazy at 12! Oh goodness, what is going on? Do you know who she is? Have you met her? Do we like her?

Pikester...glad to hear the lockdown went ok (wow, that's a strange statement). And I did find the fudge ritz! There was a display near the cashiers at my local grocery. So far, I've managed to resist all of them except for two, but goodness, they are delicious!

The family, en masse, are getting me a netbook for Christmas. Too bad I don't know what I want! I know I want a 6 cell battery and upgradable RAM. Other than that, I'm lost. Is it wrong to consider pink color a must?

My sister and I had a funny incident last night. We're getting our mother a Lee Middleton doll for Christmas. My sister went to FAO Schwartz last night, always a brave thing come December. She was unprepared for "insanity" of the doll area. Its set up like a nursery, with the dolls in bassinets and the salespersons in nurses garb. I was sending her pics of the newborns that I thought looked most like us and she was showing them to the "nurses". After we decided on which one to "adopt" my sister was then taken to the "Mommy" center to dress and wrap her doll. They tried to get her to carry it out like a newborn, but my sister insister they put the baby in a box. It was too funny!

So glad you found them. I've been so naughty and have gone through 2 boxes all ready! I have had some help but not that much.

:rotfl:at the experience your sister had. What a cool thing if you're a little girl though.

Pikester...did you read the recipe on the back of the box? I totally have to make the chocolate pudding pie. Do you feel like you have to stock up? I see that "limited edition" flashing at me and I feel like, oh no! If I don't get more now, I'll have to wait until next year. Its terrible.

No calls to work today so I've been listening to the radio and doing some research on dinnerware. I bought some cheapy type 16pc sets at Kmart thinking I would like them. They've been sitting in my pantry since October because I haven't taken the time to unbox them, wash them and then put them away. I decided to get off my duff and do that but before washing I took two plates out, stacked one on top of the other and turned the plate. Left scratches on the bottom one. Both sets are going back to the store (I should mention that they were stoneware). I've been looking at Corelle sets online and found a couple of patterns that I like.

1st choice

2nd

3rd

I emailed DH the choices and he likes them in the same order that I do.

I suppose I should get a few more chores done so I'm off to clean the bathroom. JOY!

I did see that. I thought about trying it for Christmas but realized I'd have to use my yummy crackers and I'm to selfish to share. Yes, I do feel like I have to stock up. I plan on buying a couple (or more!) boxes when I go grocery shopping on Sunday.
