Afternoon Ladies:

Got all caught up but lost all my quotes so I'm just gonna say HI!!

TTYL

Just checking in to say hi to my TK friends not on facebook. That is where I am at, mostly, when I get on the computer. Wish I had more time but isn't that always the case. We never seem to have enough time.

Glanced over quickly. Caught a comment about having lots of shoes because they fit. I am the same way. I do not like to shop for clothes. Especially tops. Where do they find this thin, thin, thin material. I do not want to be a porn star. lol.

Big hug to the ones who are sick and not feeling well. Some virus is moving around over here. I am trying to avoid it at all costs.

Well........it's official.

We got our Disney package in the mail today. Money came in. (Well, most of it. Someone still owes us a bunch but he is at least trying to make payments now.)

We are definitely taking our vacation. Only going to the parks one day. That helped to cut out the cost. We want a little more relaxing schedule this time anyway. Going to drive over to Cocoa beach for a day or two. The kids want to go to Universal for a day but they are buying there own ticket. They both have jobs now. And, our food is free thanks to Free Dining.

Well, gotta go. I'll check in again soon.:hippie:

Well, we saw the list. DS7 was a little disappointed as all his friends are in the OTHER class this year. :sad1: Told him he can make some new friends and that he'd see the others at recess, but he is still bummed. Poor kid.
DS11 got a teacher he had in 3rd grade who is now teaching 5th. He is a very nice teacher, however, not very strict. DS11 needs a teacher who is very strict and organized. We'll see how the year goes. There are only 6 boys in his class and 14 girls. He thinks he will be in heaven, but mom on the other hand, isn't so thrilled. :scared:

M&N - TAKE THE PLUNGE! :cheer2: TAKE THE PLUNGE!!! :yay: I could see you starting a farm on FB and working the fields w/ Pepper. :rotfl2:

Hi Shmu and Ev!

M&N - Did that deadbeat friend of yours ever send you payment for her pens? I bet if she would have known your b-day was coming up, she'd of sent you a card too. ;)

Good afternoon ladies. Not much happening around here. We actually finally got a little rain! The weather has been really nice since it has been a bit cooler the last few days.

We are all in the Disney spirit around here so this morning DD watched Mary Poppins. Coincidentally, a little later I got this little dittie so I have been torturing my family with the last line all day. I might as well continue in my insanity and pass it on to all of you.

Mary Poppins was traveling home, but due to worsening weather, she decided to stop at a hotel for the night. She approached the receptionist and asked for a room for the night.

"Certainly madam," he replied courteously.

"Is the restaurant open still?" inquired Mary.

"Sorry, no," came the reply, "but room service is available all night.

Would you care to select something from this menu?"

Mary smiled and took the menu and perused it. "Hmm, I would like cauliflower cheese please," said Mary.

"Certainly, madam," he replied.

"And can I have breakfast in bed?" asked Mary politely.

The receptionist nodded and smiled.

"In that case, I would love a couple of poached eggs, please," Mary mused.

After confirming the order, Mary signed in and went up to her room for the night.

The night passed uneventfully and the next morning Mary came down early to check out. The same guy was still on the desk.

"Morning madam...sleep well?"

"Yes, thank you," Mary replied.

"Food to your liking?"

"Well, I have to say the cauliflower cheese was exceptional, I don't think I have had better. Shame about the eggs, though....they really weren't that nice at all," replied Mary truthfully.

"Oh...well, perhaps you could contribute these thoughts to our Guest Comments Book. We are always looking to improve our service and would value your opinion," said the receptionist.

"OK, I will...thanks!" replied Mary....who checked out, then scribbled a comment into the book. Waving, she left to continue her journey.

Curious, the receptionist picked up the book to see the comment Mary had written.

"Supercauliflowercheesebuteggswerequiteatrocious!"

Oops! Must have not refreshed for awhile because when I reread my post there were a mess of new posts I had not read.

Pepperw23, I got ticked off at Farmville the other day and quit. Probably had something to do with not being able to keep up with both FV and FT. I am more of a Farmtown girl. I am up to level 25 and considered an "acclaimed farmer". If they only knew about my luck with plants in real life! :sad2:

Shmu, great news about everything working out for your trip!

D&DDisney, nice to hear that you would like your son to have a strict teacher. You can bet that the majority of parents wouldn't want anyone being too hard on their little angels. I would imagine if more teachers were allowed to be tough there might not be such an epidemic of rotten kids.

Howdy to everyone else and have a great weekend!

Evening ladies....is it Danny or just crappy weather today? Been raining on and off and has gotten significantly cooler. Had to wear a sweater today.

Pepper, did I friend you? (I am so bad at FB). If you got an offer from someone with the initials "FBL" and happens to be Asian, that's me.

Shmu! You got your papers already???? I have not received anything from my pooper-head TA. I actually called her the other day to follow up on the status of my documents. She said she's gotten my DME stuff and mailed them out, but the actual travel stuff she hasn't gotten yet. I still don't trust her, so I went to the Disney website myself and confirmed my trip details. I feel so much better now. I just have to deal with her timing incomptence.

I went shoppind today and DID NOT buy shoes! Macy's is having some great clearance sales, I got four long summer dresses. They may have no shape, but they are super comfy! Also bought some clearance bathing suits. its been so longs since I bought my last ones, they're pretty sad looking. I got this one suit that has something called "longitude" control that keeps it from riding up in all sorts of uncomfortable places. Now I just need one that can take off about 4 sizes and I'll be all set!

D&D...I can't beleive your kids are going back to school. I swear, there are more girls in the world than boys. Just think about the laws of supply and demand in regards to DS...he's going to be way popular as the hormones start kiciking in!

M&N....I just got a new book from Borders today....supposed to be very Dan Brown DaVinci Code-esque. Since its raining, no laundry duty for me this weekend....:rolleyes1

Marie, your Mary Poppins joke was Awesome!
I am glad someone else besides me appreciated it. My family just shook their heads at me. Can't help it. I'm just corny that way. It has made it all the more fun to torture them with!

Kitty, if you succeed in finding one of those take 4 sizes off swimsuits let me know too. I could seriously use one!

Okay... NOT helping here. Girls have always flocked to DS11. He just has those looks that will get him anything. Although it is nice to have a popular son, the thought of him w/ girls is too scary for me. :scared1:

I liked it too. I love corny humor. Airplane movies and Naked Gun type humor are my favorites.

On the topic of starting school...:teacher:

Racetrack told me her DD5 started Kindergarten this week. There were lots of tears. Not by DD but by Racetrack. I bet that was adorable. :lovestruc

D&D....the thought of Racetrack's littlest going off to school makes me want to cry too! And I thought both your boys were little charmers...you're going to have A LOT to worry about because they are adorable!

I swear I think the first day of kindergarten was harder than graduation day!!! I cried like a baby both times.

I figured out who the facebook friends were. It was two of my childhood friends that I have not seen since the early 80's! One of them even had pics of all of us from back then...I must say I was adorable ha ha :rotfl:

Kitty, I don't have a friend request from you...send me one! I would love to be your "friend" ha ha.

The only thing I don't like about farmville is the fact that your crops die if you don't go on for a while..that is just messed up ha ah. Wow "acclaimed farmer" you are quite important over there in Farmtown! :rotfl2:

Wow! Very quiet on here today.

Kids had their first day of school today. From what they told me when they got home it was a great one.:thumbsup2

I was chatting with a former member of the PTO that I had become friendly with and I finally was able to confirm with her that she is a member of the DIS. I had seen her around in the NH thread and I had seen different things mentioned that clued me into it being her. Be warned..the DIS is everywhere!

whgrn: Sounds like you and the family are having a great time! Keep enjoying yourselves, you deserve it!

LITC: Little LITC will be coming soon. I can't remember, do you know the sex?

Magikitty: You are so right about stuff being made of junk! It's not just electronics either. Clothes are made so shabby that they fall apart pretty easily. I remember when I worked in retail and almost never had to send an item back because it was defective. As I got toward the end of my 9 yrs of working at a particular store we had one person devoted to sending defective stuff back every week. I remember getting a whole order of pants from a company that had those little red arrow sticker on them that pointed out defects. Why send them when they were all defective?:confused3

M&N: Yay for being able to drink the water! We had a no boil order in my town once during the hotest weekend of the year and the PTO was sponsoring a running race. We made sure to get water from someone who had their own well and not town water. What a PITA that was!

Hope everyone is having a good night!

Hey Pike, hope you are well. Nope we do not know the sex. We decided to be surprised!

Marie--Really cute, I liked it.

Kitty- great job on all the shopping finds. One "bad" thing about being pregnant right now while all these stores are having big sales to bring in customers is there is no way I am going to be buying clothes that I may never fit in. :confused3

Also I got myself a pedicure today after work so my feet dont look AS terrible for my shower on sunday and the girl who did mine was wearing one of those Hello Kitty necklaces made of the crystals. I think they are pretty pricey, but it immediately made me think of you.

Evening LITC! Glad you managed to get some pampering in. I'm sure it felt wonderful to have your feet taken care of. OMG! Only 35 days to go! And have so much fun at your shower on Sunday! I'll be there in spirit!

So regards to names, do you have one for a girl, one for a boy? Or did you make a list? How did you find names to consider? I guess this is a question for all the Mommys out there. How did you decide the names for your children? Its a huge responsibility!

Ok, OT....I went to Victoria's Secret today. I had a coupon for a free travel kit with any pink purchase. So I bought a single panty and got the kit for free--perfect for my carryon and its pink! Also today, if you made a pink purchase, you got a free lacy thong. I'm staring at it right now. I cannot understand it at all. Why would you subject yourself to that itty bitty torture? Even if you're skinny, the thong would do the same horrible things to you!

If my BF wanted me to wear a thong, I think I may be looking for a new boyfriend....or else make him wear one and we'll call it even.

LITC....Kimora Lee Simmons makes a line of high end Hello Kitty jewelry. they are so cute and so expensive. I did order a Hello Kitty skin for my phone that I'm very excited about.....and it only cost me $5! I guess it doesn't take much to amuse me.

It is raining something fierce here! Its good sleeping weather....

Hey Kitty,

I sent you a friend request did you get it?

Pikster, I sent you one too...at least I hope it was you ha ha ha.

LITC, I officially don't have a CLUE who one of my facebook people are because I thought it was you ha ha ha.

Back again.:hippie:
LOVED the Mary Poppins joke. :lmao: Gotta share that one with DH.

I think I'm friends with everyone here who has FaceBook. If not, let me know. Us TKers have to stick together wherever we are.:thumbsup2

I told RaceTrack too bad I wasn't Professor Sugar Mama Shmu yet. I would LOVE to teach her DD in Kindergarten. That is the grade I want to teach. :teacher:

We have been able to keep our kids safe from a lot of the girl chasing and boy chasing thing when they were younger. Don't know how, but luckily we were able to. Don't get me wrong, they were interested. I guess we just stayed so busy as a family they didn't have time for that early on.

But now that they are older................................................................:rolleyes1

DD has her first "boyfriend". He is a childhood friend. He is in NJ and we are in GA so kinda safe. They have emailed all these years since they moved away when he was 5 and DD was 4. He wrote a letter to her when she was about 6 asking her to marry her. Of course DD said, "No way.. I don't want to move away right now. I'm too young.":rotfl:

They have become VERY good friends over the years through email, letters, phone calls, and texting. He is away at bootcamp for the Army right now and I pray for him all the time. I feel like he is one of my kids. We are close to the whole family. They use to be our neighbors. It'll be interesting to see what actually happens with this relationship.

MagiKitty.....when you see us in Disney, ask DD how "Muffin" is. She will turn 3 shades of red and giggle but will gladly tell you all about him. She won't mind you knowing at all.

Kinda wish I was just sending my little one off to Kindergarten...I'm sitting here waiting for DD to call me telling me she is leaving her job and is returning home. She works at a clothing store in a mall and it makes me nervous having her out so late by herself. So far so good. Just mommy having a hard time letting go.

LITC....keep taking care of that little one on the way.

Yay, just got phone call that DD is safe in van on the way home. I can breath easier again.

Hi MagiKitty, I agree with the thong thing. Torture.:scared1:

Hi Pepper, that's funny about your mystery facebook friend.
