the weather is glorious here today too...not a cloud in the sky and not too hot...going to be around 75. We'll probably hang in the pool all afternoon since pool days will soon be over for another year. Great news about the MVMHP...we went to the christmas one which was great...we did very little of the actual events though because the rides were all empty and it was far to tempting to be able to walk on to everything.

Morning M&N ~ glad to hear you got your test anyways, even if it was a little late. Enjoy lunch & the fair...I won't say enjoy the fitness centre.

Hello my friends!

Just checking in to see how "Dad" is doing. I see that he is visiting the Dr. right now so we should get an update soon.

M&N: I'm always worried that my appts will get messed up some how. Usually I get a reminder call from most of the places we need appts for but my DS8 has a Dr whose office never calls. I rememeber looking at my calender one day and realizing we had missed an appt for this Dr 3 days ago! Never got a call about it or anything. I got right on the phone to apologize and reschedule. They never charged me a fee or anything.

The weather here is OK. The temp is 75 and there is a little bit of humidity in the air. Tomorrow is suppose to be warm and dry. I would love to hang some laundery out then. Maybe I will.

Had a good lunch. We sat outside but the bees were bad. There was a little breeze. Now it's downright hot again and getting muggy.
I have only been to the fair once. I live about 5 blaock from it now. It's Monday to Sat. A lot of towns around here have them. The main problem for me will be the food. I'll try to be good. The friend I'm going with is usually good too. I'm sure I won't have trouble getting those carbs in but not the veggies...had soup and salad for lunch to help.
I did my bike for 15 min then the girl showed me some of the machines to add plus the leg weights for stretches. I could not do the squat where you put the big ball at your back against the wall and squat...my knees did not like it. So now I can have some variety when I go.
I think I have to get another bath to go to the fair! Just found out that I can't drink our water though...boiling in affect until Friday???

I need to watch Sense and Sensibility & Pride and Prejudice. I think they would be right up my alley. We love the Muppets! I do like Muppets in Space but I gotta tell you our favorite is Muppet Treasure Island. We have watched it so many times we know almost all the lines.
Ooooh! You do have an amazing honey! You two are going to have so much fun! Good job finding so many great deals!

Pikester, so just how scary is the Goonies? I am not one for very scary. Funny is good though.

D&DDisney, sounds like they are putting you right to work! Presentations today. Who knows what's next?

BKMETV, I am liking this wordscrapper game. I play a game similar called Literati on Yahoo with my son every now and then so you can help keep me brushed up so I can beat him!
I also love Princess Bride! We have picked up a lot of quotes from that one.

Hey M&N! I don't do well with heat either. Not a good thing when you live in Texas. I spend a lot of time indoors during the summer months. I hope you have recovered from your weekend now.
Thanks for the heads up on all the bare butts in the Time Travelers Wife. I will be sure if I watch that one to make sure that DD is no where around.

The story is about a group of friends that go on an adventure. You see skeletons and there is a "monster" that befriends one of the kids. I worded it that way because they think it's an "it" until they actually meet him. There is a action, adventure, a love story, friendship and of course an "evil villion" or two. The recent movie of Pride & Prejudice is OK but you really have to watch the BBC mini series with Colin Firth...that is one gorgeous man!! The show it on PBS Masterpiece Theatre every so often. It's so funny in the novel Bridget Jones Diary she talks about what a sex Mr. Darcy Conlin Firth is...and then they cast him as Bridget's Mr. Darcy in the film.

Goonies isn't scary at all! Its a great movie, actually. Lots of fun.

I love all incarnations of Pride and Prejudice. Beware the BBC one though....once you start you can't stop! Its five or six dvds, but well worth the investment! The first time it was shown on TV, on consecutive Sundays in England, they actually had something called "Darcy Syndrome"! Women were actually swooning and having to go to hospital! Have you ever tried Bride and Prejudice? Its a Bollywood take on the storyline....lots of fun and Aishwarya Rai is just the most gorgeous woman in the world....

I do love me some Colin Firth too....

Oh...if you're in for period pieces...see Vanity Fair with Reese Witherspoon. I never read Thackeray, but I do enjoy that movie.

I got our MNSSHP tix today! I really pushed my luck that one....BF was not in the greatest of moods, but once I presented my case he was in. Essentially, I told him he doesn't have to get me birthday or Christmas presents if he takes me to the shows this trip. I really have a feeling that we won't be going to Disney next year (now Universal in time for Harry Potter land is another thing altogether) so we have to make the most of it when we have the chance.

Just found out today that there's a boil water advisory out for me! Thankfully, I didn't drink any! At least I don't think I did. From what I saw on the news tonight, something happened Wed pm and the public wasn't told until Monday! Well, I didn't watch the news and did not know anyway. I'm not sure when I filled my water pitcher. I have a Brita filter pitcher but don't think that kills the ecolli (or whatever it is)! So I'll have to throw it out. The grocery stores said it's like before a snowstorm except its for bottled water instead of bread and milk. It may be ok by Fridday.

YUCK! They just said not to brush teeth with the water! I guess I'll have to use my coke tonight! I have no water I know is safe...I guess I need to boil some! I can do that without burning it!

God was looking out for me even though I wasn't! I bought diet decaf tea this weekend so I didn't drink water last night and I ate out today and had a little coke tonight. I will have to rewash the dishes!
