Yes, MK, my ticker is right! 19 days til Hershey, and 25 days til SCOTLAND!!!:cool1::banana::yay: :dance3:

Thanks for the support. The trip to VA was good. The traffic was not too bad and the gas is cheaper than here. I got to see several cousins I had not seen in years. It's a sad way to keep in touch. I know the daughter of my uncle who died is going to have a tough time. It had not really hit her yet. She was so busy 'doing' for her mom and brother, she hasn't had the time to think about it yet. She knows that too.

Kitty, you know how and when to pick your battles. I was never much into Halloween when I was a child. I love to greet the little ones when they come around now but I'm not much for scarey I guess.

Does anyone know when they post the dates for the candle light processioanl and when they turn on the Osborne lights?

Hello to everyone.
Pikester-hope you had a very happy birthday. I think you have the same b-day as my DH, the 27th right? Cool another TKer connection.

I had my ultrasound last monday-you know the Tech's dont really say much, but she said she thought the kidneys looked good. She also let me see the face a minute, she kept the screen turned for the most part since it was mainly to check out a medical problem. I feel pretty good about it though.

Then last Tuesday my Dh had surgery. He had to have a vein in his leg burned out. It was backing up the blood instead of pumping it through like it should. It caused him alot of pain. He's been uncomfortable since then, and spent his birthday laid up. He'll be out of work for a few weeks recovering. But at least we were able to get it taken care of before the baby.

Does anyone know when they post the dates for the candle light processioanl and when they turn on the Osborne lights?

The dates for the candlelight processional are November 27th through December 30th but the narrators haven't been released yet. Not sure when you can start booking yet.

I found a site that shows the lights going from November 30th 2009 through January 3rd 2010. Link: http://www.wdwmagic.com/Attractions...sborne-Family-Spectacle-of-Dancing-Lights.htm

LITC:  Glad you got a peek at the baby. Hope DH's leg heals fast. You are right about the timing to get it done before the baby.

Hey Pikester: What can I say about friends?
2.gif
Thanks. I looked it up and could not find it in several places. I am probably going after Thanksgiving . Last year I missed the lights. I saw the castle lights but not Osbornes.

Happy 4th everyone.

I'm off to Mom's. My aunt and uncle will be there before lunch so I need to get moving. I'll be having a great week...you do too!

LivinInTheCastle Sounds like the baby is Ok. :) Hope your DH's leg heals quickly and he feels better. :flower3:
whgrn Can't wait to hear more about your Scotland trip. I hope to go there someday...
MagiKitty I've heard Universal's Halloween is really scary. :scared1:

Woke up at 4 am to a thunderstorm. I prefer them in the pm when I'm already awake. :upsidedow

Good afternoon friends! We're under tornado watch here...I don't think I can remember EVER having a tornado watch. I don't really know what to do for it.

LITC, thank goodness your US went well. And the LITC-let is coming so soon. Sorry to hear about DH's surgery, but better to get it taken care of than to leave him in pain. Just a good excuse for both of you to relax and prepare for the arrival!

So, I discussed the Halloween thing with BF and he took it really well. He said, "well, if we're going to spend the money, we may as well go to MNSSHP". He thought it was sweet that I was trying to make things special and still do it cheaply. At least we get free candy from Mickey! He did have a good point too (it does happen). He said "You get scared on the Snow White ride, and you want to go WHERE? You can't even watch scary previews..."

I do get scared on Snow White. That witch is freakin scary!

I called in this morning to try to tweak some ressies. Was able to move my Asherkus ressie to 11am, instead of 2. Wasn't able to get Ohana at all, and couldn't move my 50s PT to an earlier time. Will keep trying though. Not even going to mess with my Le Cellier reservation.

All this crazy weather better stop before we head to Hershey!

Evening all:

LITC - Glad to hear the ultrasound went well.:thumbsup2

The weather here SUCKS!! Today was cloudy and in the high 50s!! It's suppose to be in the 80s in July!!

Yes, MK, my ticker is right! 19 days til Hershey, and 25 days til SCOTLAND!!!:cool1::banana::yay: :dance3:

My Mom will be taking off in about an hour...she was talking about delaying her trip for a week because of my sister's fall but we managed to talk her out of it...she kept complaining that she didn't know what she would do for 3 whole weeks in Scotland...:confused3...my response was it beat 3 weeks staying at home!!!

Not even going to mess with my Le Cellier reservation.

You could always come visit me if you want to have cheddar soup & steak in Canada!!

Hey!!! Weather was terrible here today. Lots of rain and t-storms this afternoon. But they totally missed DH who was working in Philly. Go figure. :confused3

M&N, can't believe I missed ya. I hope you have a wonderful 4th as well. I'll see you when you get back home and we can discuss all the wrecks at Daytona. (that were Jr's fault) :lmao::lmao::lmao:

LITC, I'm so happy you got good news at the ultrasound. And sending well wishes to your DH. My dad had knee surgery yesterday and he's trying to act like Superman thinking he doesn't need to rest and take it easy. I'm sure he's driving my stepmom insane already. :rotfl:

Magikitty, HHN looks freaky scary. I've watched videos of it on youtube. But I wish I could go. I love that kind of stuff. MNSSHP is awesome too. We had so much fun when we went in 06. We all dressed up even DH. Of course, that might be my favorite party at MK since that's the only one that it didn't pour on us.

Ev, our temps are pretty cool right now too. Didn't get any higher than 70 today and should be right around that all week. I want the 90's darn it!!!!

Hi DL55 AND D&DDisney!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi guys.:hippie:

Haven't read to far back and I was only able to skim but it looks like a lot of you are having bad weather.

Sorry about your tornado watch MagiKitty. We have them all the time here in GA. DH, DD, and I had a party in the basement on our last one. DH did a bunch of goofy dancing and DD videoed. It helped keep DD calm. DS was at work at the Mall and everyone in the Mall was evacuated from the stores and made to line up against the walls in the middle of the Mall. He called us from his phone to make sure we were OK. They can be pretty scary but thankfully I have NEVER seen a tornado and I have lived here my whole life. Have seen some pretty bad storms though.

If you see hail or hear a train like noise get in a closet, closed in bathroom, or something like that. Praying for safety.

LivinintheCastle glad baby is doing well. Glad DH getting his leg better. Sorry he is having to go through that.

OK, MagicKitty, I read to DS and DD about you getting scared on Snow White and thinking about Universal and they thought that was funny and precious. Mickey's Halloween Party is definitely the choice for you.

I got scared at the Universal Billboards last year. Don't think I'll ever go there Halloween. My brother use to work there a long time ago and he said Halloween is absolutely awful at Universal. Lots of kids causing trouble and stuff.

So....Friday we are going to sit the kids down and decide what we are doing about our vacation. Still don't know. Some money has come in but now we have two more glitches. One is me missing school and the other is we found out my nephew is going to be a daddy and we want to make sure we have money to travel to see him when the baby is born. They live in Ocala.

Not sure if I'll get my Flat TKer done in time for Hershey but I'll try. If not I'll aim for the next trip.

Big Hug to everyone.
Gotta run though. Pretty tired. Just wanted to pop in and say hello.

Oh, and Happy 4th of July if I don't make it back over here before then.

So, I can't sleep. Figured I would just post some more pics from vacation.

We spent Tuesday and Thursday at Islands of Adventure. Tuesday we rode everything but the water rides. Saved all those for Thursday.

Walking into the park, I think. DH took this one.

Curtscamera239.jpg

Their Christmas shop. I had to refrain from spending tons of money there. I love Christmas ornaments and our tree is totally mismatched with various ornaments we've picked up over the years.

Curtscamera240.jpg

DD13 wanted to ride the Hulk coaster right away, so off we sent her and DS while DH and I waited with the younger two. I ended up riding the Hulk later in the day. DD13 thought it was one of the best coasters she has been on. Me, not so much. I've ridden better but it was still good.

Michelescamera116.jpg

While waiting for DD and DS to get off the Hulk Coaster, DH took the younger 2 girls on Stormforce. It's like the Tea Cup ride and of course, made DH queasy. I'm the official picture taker so I get to opt out of those rides. :rotfl: All 4 kids rode it later in the day too.

Curtscamera242.jpg

We rode Spiderman and it was great. Ended up riding it a few more times throughout the 2 days. All the kids loved it and no one thought it was "scary". We headed right through Toon Lagoon and Jurassic Park to get to Dueling Dragons. I had been wanting to ride this for a while and it didn't disappoint. The only thing that was really bad was the line....or actually the walk to the loading station. OMG, did it take forever and ever. I think we spent more time walking than anything. I couldn't even imagine waiting through all it if there had been a line.

Headed to Seuss Landing next since the little ones were behaving so well while waiting for us to ride the big rides. The theming is incredible here. The kids loved all the rides. Even the big kids enjoyed them.

Curtscamera254.jpg

The Cat In The Hat ride. DH got "yelled" at for taking the second inside the Cat In The Hat ride. Apparently, there is no photography allowed.

Curtscamera251.jpg

Curtscamera249.jpg

And finally the Caro-Seuss-el. The kids had to ride that one a few times as well. I was able to get a few pics of DS riding a pink elephant. Promised I wouldn't post them....yet. Though you can kinda see him a little in this one but we won't tell him that. :lmao:

Michelescamera234.jpg

The kids also got a real kick out of One Fish, Two Fish. It is what I think the Magic Carpets Of Aladdin is suppose to be like except the spitting camels never seem to work on Aladdin. Of course, my kids spent the entire ride trying to get wet instead of following the song to avoid the water.

All the kids also got Thing t-shirts. And the "happily" wore them for us throughout the day. The little ones tank tops had Thing 1 and Thing 2 in rhinestones since they were more girly.

Curtscamera172.jpg

We didn't spend much time at all in Jurassic Park or the Lost Continent. Both little ones were scared by JP River Adventure. They rode it once and that was enough. We did get a couple of good pictures though.

Curtscamera147.jpg

This is in the JP play area....slides, tunnels, water. Yep, my kids came out drenched. DD6 was having a water gun battle with some other kids down below the wall. Since she is so short, the water would just squirt her in the face. She had a ball and we had to drag her out of there.

Curtscamera179.jpg

We got to eat at Mythos. No wait at all and the food was pretty good. DD13 proclaimed it was the best chicken sandwich she ever had. I thought the prices were very good for a sit down restaurant in a theme park.

Curtscamera161.jpg

On our second day at IOA, we spent most of the time riding the water rides. We slept in and walked over to the park after breakfast in City Walk. Toon Lagoon is also themed wonderfully.

Michelescamera258.jpg

Michelescamera261.jpg

Michelescamera262.jpg

If I asked all the kids to agree on a favorite ride, it would be Popeye's Bilge Rat Barges (circular raft ride like Kali River Rapids). We rode it a total of 8 times that day, 7 in a row using express pass. Even my scaredy-cat DD8 couldn't get enough of it.

We finally got them away from the ride but not away from the water. Anyone thinking of going who hasn't been there before, plan on having the kids wear swim suits/trunks. There is water everywhere and the kids just can't resist it.

BKMETV I think I must protest some of those statements.:scratchin But I do love #12. :rotfl2: Happy Canada Day!

I needed the laugh. I picked up my travel documents today. Was so excited that I ran into the freezer. Now the truck has a dent in the bumper.

MagiKitty DO NOT go to Universal for Halloween. :scared1:

racetrack18kg Love the pictures. No one can get out of IOA without getting drenched.

Hi Pikester and Shmu

Only 17 more days!!!!
That weather in PA had better improve - FAST!!!!

Weather here is still cold. 50s & 60s - Brrr! Kids didnt' have swim today cause of the weather. What's going on here????

Hi, everyone! I love your pics Racer!! I didn't read back very far, where were you? Looks like a lot of fun!!

Afternoon!!!

Is it time for school to start yet? Please! DD13 is driving me nuts today. She is in complete witch mode. She is constantly being rude to her sisters. And then she gets all mad when they are rude to her back. And she has pms too so that just adds to the drama. I really don't know if I'm going to make it through the summer.

Kellie, (I did get that correct?) we decided to skip Disney this year and went to Universal instead. It really was a lot of fun for everyone and a nice change from Disney. Can't wait to go back.

D&D, I can't believe how soon the meet is. DH already told his boss he needs off so we are all set.

DL55, you are right about everybody getting wet at IOA. Kids thought I was crazy when I told them to wear the swimsuits to the park.

Very close, Racer!! It's Kerrie, I forgot I took it out of my siggie. Sorry!!
