Evening ladies. As usual everyone is probably done for the night. For some reason late at night seems to be one of the best times I can finally make it onto the computer with a few less interruptions.
Pikester, my DH never tells me anything either. I usually find out everything way after the fact. So sorry to hear about your relatives. We have gone through the cancer stuff around here with both my MIL and my DM. It sucks. Glad to hear FIL is okay. That must have been kinda scary coming unhitched.
M&N, I would imagine exploring the paths at AK in a leisurely manner would be great. I imagine the only way we will get to do that is if our party goes in different directions. Our guys do not do slow and relaxing. I may very well come back thinking I could have spent more time there too.
It was me asking about Splenda. There is some pretty scary stuff out there if you can believe it. I suppose if you look hard enough you can find that kind of stuff about almost anything. I am definitely not a health nut. Just trying to come up with a few ideas to improve my health. After doing some reading about Splenda possibly contributing to weight gain I thought it might be worth a try to lay off the stuff. I have given up my diet Big Reds and tea. I have drank more water in the last few weeks than I ever have. So far I have not noticed any marked improvement which means I may not be able to hold out much longer! I agree that one needs to have some enjoyment from eating so unless I start noticing some change soon I may end up going back to some of the things I enjoy.
I am still considering doing CP too. We have done it at
Disneyland so I thought I would give it a try at WDW to see if my experience was any different. I think there should be information out on it soon but since everything has changed to the 90 day mark they may make us wait until then too. When you decide on your dates to WDW you are bound to be there at the same time as somebody. Best I recall Pikester & D&DDisney sometime after Thanksgiving, as well as me.
Kitty, what sort of perks do you get for booking with
AAA? I am a member too but since we did not stay onsite I don't think they could have helped me out any. Now if Pikester doesn't take you up on your offer be sure to keep me in mind.

I hope you survived the storms a-okay. We go through the tornado watches every year. I used to not be much of a worrier...more of a whatever happens kind of person... until my DH came along. In our earlier years we had a storm shelter which I hated. It was terrifying running out in the middle of the storm. When we built our house we solved the problem and built an earth shelter home. It is wonderful! I usually just sleep through the storms. I have noticed that we now see a lot more of DstepD during tornado season since she lives real close and doesn't have a storm shelter.
Good job convincing DBF to go to
MNSSHP. He should earn some points for going going with your original choice. Also, congrats on having such good luck on your ADRs.
LITC, so glad everything looks good with the baby. I hope your DH is doing better.
racetrack18kb, love seeing more of your pictures. No kidding! If you want more thrills, Six Flags is the place to go! My family is not much of the thrill seeker variety. I guess that's why Disney works so well for us. Big Thunder is about as wild as I like to ride. TOT scared the beejeebers out of me. No one in my family will ever get back on that terrifying thing again!
Has anyone purchased park tickets via
Undercover Tourist? They have some specials going in connection to Mousesavers and are a little cheaper than direct from WDW. I just got a new Discover card. My introductory rate is 0% through 11/09 so I will be able to put some of my stuff on there and get it paid for ahead of time. Plus, the agent told me I will get back $50 for the first $500 I spend AND for the month of July, August and September they give 5% back on up to $300 on theme park tickets. Too bad it's not the whole amount. But still a small perk for something. I'll have to decide whether to put it all on there or put part on my Disney Visa to rack up those Disney rewards.
