No, I'm sorry. :flower3: I'm very bad with names.

How's the summer going for you? Kids driving you crazy?

Not too bad. The 2yr old is screaming, but that's not unusual. It's been crazy busy with camps and everything. We're going to the beach this weekend, leaving tomorrow. New puppies are coming on Monday. Then Schlitterbahn and DD9's 10th b-day next weekend.

I see you're ready for the kids to go back to school. I'm ready for it to slow down and get back into a routine, but I don't think it will happen anytime soon.

Schlitterbahn...fun stuff. Glad its warm enough to go to a waterpark in your neck of the woods.

Racetrack - ask me again in a couple of weeks when swim and band are done. I'll have my Back to School ticker up there after vacation.

Happy Canada Day - dar hey!

Hi, D&D! We've had record breaking heat for awhile now, and it will be in the 100s for the foreseeable future. I think waterparks are the only solution to this heat! It's just alot of kids to watch around all that water.

Happy Canada Day, Ev!!!!!

D&D, orchestra starts beginning of August for DD13. Things will calm down then. The weather hasn't helped things here either. If it would ever get hot, I could send them out back with the super soakers and not have to hear them for a while.

Kerrie, sounds like you have some busy weekends coming up. I've seen a travel channel show on Schlitterbahn and always thought it looked cool. We have a water park about 10 minutes from here but we haven't been in years. It was under poor management for quite a while and just gave up on it.

I know it's no laughing matter but I found this and just had to post it.

When will it end?!

Hey racetrack, DS11 saw your pictures of the Hulk. His exact word was "SWEET!"

Hey Pikester! You're having the bad weather too? What is it this year?

Does your DS like thrill rides?

Yes he does. DS8 is the one that is a little timid (I am too). We got him to try Splash Mountain and Thunder Mountain last year and he loved them! We are hoping to talk him into trying R&R, Space Mountain and DH wants to talk him into doing EE (No way on EE for me again!).

The weather has been horrible! The only good thing is that many of the days have been muggy and overcast but the kids have been able to play outside. Today was mostly a washout. The temps haven't been too bad though. Lower to mid 70s. Supposedly the weather is going to be mostly sunny with temps in the mid to upper 70s with a possible Tstorm on Saturday. I'll believe when I see it!

DD8 is doesn't like very many thrilling rides either. She will try them all at least once but doesn't have to ride them again if she doesn't like them. She rode EE 2 years ago and hasn't been back on. She hasn't tried RNRC yet either. Maybe next time we go.

All my other kids love rides....DD13 is really into the thrill rides. The faster, more loops, the better. She gets that from me. We are thinking about taking a trip to Six Flags this summer to take her on one of the fastest, tallest coasters in the US.

This is going to sound really stupid but I got so excited when I went to the store today and bought my adult beverage for the 4th of July cookout at my in-laws. The normal price for Captain Morgan Parrot Bay Wave Runner Passion Fruit/Mango drink is $8.49 and I got it for $6.99! :woohoo: I've never had this drink before but I like rum so I figured, Why not!

FIL had his pacemaker installed on Monday but by Tuesday morning some part of it had come unhitched so he had to go back in today to have it fixed. The poor guy HATES being in the hospital! The Dr said that 1 and 50 patients have happen what happened to FIL. That just so figures as stuff like this always seems to happen to him. He is suppose to come home tomorrow afternoon. He is so worried about cooking his Turkey for the 4th. He use to deep fry them but he is into smoking them now. For some reason that just doesn't sound right.

Smoking Turkey?! Is that what the kids are calling it? :rotfl2:

Sounds like the doctor is on top of things with your FIL. I'll keep him in my prayers for a speedy recovery.

I can't decide what type of drink to take to the picnic on Saturday. Though the drink you bought sounds delish. Might just pick up a case of beer for everyone to share and one or two of those buckets that add the alcohol to and then throw in the freezer to make margaritas. Keep it simple.

DH is bringing his Sam Adams Summer Ale. He can't get enough of that stuff! His favorite of the Sam Adams beer line is the October Fest. He often tells me that he wishes he could by a couple of cases of it to store in the basement and have it all year long but it's just so DARN good that it won't even last the winter!

I've often thought about trying those "Buckets" but wasn't sure if I'd like them. I think I've seen strawberry margaritas before so that would be yummy.

I was really wary of trying those "bucket" drink mixes but once we did, they are pretty good. And that fact that they are easy to make makes it even better. I think I'll get a couple for the weekend.

Have a nice night, Pikester!!!

Evening ladies. As usual everyone is probably done for the night. For some reason late at night seems to be one of the best times I can finally make it onto the computer with a few less interruptions.

Pikester, my DH never tells me anything either. I usually find out everything way after the fact. So sorry to hear about your relatives. We have gone through the cancer stuff around here with both my MIL and my DM. It sucks. Glad to hear FIL is okay. That must have been kinda scary coming unhitched.

M&N, I would imagine exploring the paths at AK in a leisurely manner would be great. I imagine the only way we will get to do that is if our party goes in different directions. Our guys do not do slow and relaxing. I may very well come back thinking I could have spent more time there too.
It was me asking about Splenda. There is some pretty scary stuff out there if you can believe it. I suppose if you look hard enough you can find that kind of stuff about almost anything. I am definitely not a health nut. Just trying to come up with a few ideas to improve my health. After doing some reading about Splenda possibly contributing to weight gain I thought it might be worth a try to lay off the stuff. I have given up my diet Big Reds and tea. I have drank more water in the last few weeks than I ever have. So far I have not noticed any marked improvement which means I may not be able to hold out much longer! I agree that one needs to have some enjoyment from eating so unless I start noticing some change soon I may end up going back to some of the things I enjoy.
I am still considering doing CP too. We have done it at Disneyland so I thought I would give it a try at WDW to see if my experience was any different. I think there should be information out on it soon but since everything has changed to the 90 day mark they may make us wait until then too. When you decide on your dates to WDW you are bound to be there at the same time as somebody. Best I recall Pikester & D&DDisney sometime after Thanksgiving, as well as me.

Kitty, what sort of perks do you get for booking with AAA? I am a member too but since we did not stay onsite I don't think they could have helped me out any. Now if Pikester doesn't take you up on your offer be sure to keep me in mind. ;)
I hope you survived the storms a-okay. We go through the tornado watches every year. I used to not be much of a worrier...more of a whatever happens kind of person... until my DH came along. In our earlier years we had a storm shelter which I hated. It was terrifying running out in the middle of the storm. When we built our house we solved the problem and built an earth shelter home. It is wonderful! I usually just sleep through the storms. I have noticed that we now see a lot more of DstepD during tornado season since she lives real close and doesn't have a storm shelter.
Good job convincing DBF to go to MNSSHP. He should earn some points for going going with your original choice. Also, congrats on having such good luck on your ADRs.

LITC, so glad everything looks good with the baby. I hope your DH is doing better.

racetrack18kb, love seeing more of your pictures. No kidding! If you want more thrills, Six Flags is the place to go! My family is not much of the thrill seeker variety. I guess that's why Disney works so well for us. Big Thunder is about as wild as I like to ride. TOT scared the beejeebers out of me. No one in my family will ever get back on that terrifying thing again!

Has anyone purchased park tickets via Undercover Tourist? They have some specials going in connection to Mousesavers and are a little cheaper than direct from WDW. I just got a new Discover card. My introductory rate is 0% through 11/09 so I will be able to put some of my stuff on there and get it paid for ahead of time. Plus, the agent told me I will get back $50 for the first $500 I spend AND for the month of July, August and September they give 5% back on up to $300 on theme park tickets. Too bad it's not the whole amount. But still a small perk for something. I'll have to decide whether to put it all on there or put part on my Disney Visa to rack up those Disney rewards.

Good morning everyone! I will tell you, this insane weather is definitely keeping me on my toes! We had the tornado watch the other day, it didn't hit here, but the neighbouring town with lots of hail. Yesterday was super hot and humid. Today is dark and going to rain. I've started carrying a bigger bag with a poncho and umbrella in it, just in case.

Yesterday was my parent's anniversary. We had family dinner and were blessed with good weather for it.

Marie, I bought tix thru UT for my last trip. They were great. They send it right away, I got mine about 3 days after I ordered. The envelope is nondescript, I almost threw it away thinking it was junk mail! The tix come wrapped in plastic, just check out if they sent you the right tix before you open it. They'll exchange it if the plastic is intact. We had no problems with using the tix at the parks, and I even used mine to upgrade to an AP!

There are rumours that tix prices will be going up next month, so BF and I are discussing saving some money and getting his tix thru UT and using my Disney rewards for tips and such on our trip. We figure we can save some money, and that's always good!

When you get your package thru AAA, they send you a booklet with AAA stuff in it. What are your dates again? I'm sure Pikester and I can forward the stuff to you. Also, if you have a AAA office near you, you can call and ask if they have any perks for you. My office is too far for me to stop by, but I've heard other people have gotten some stuff from their local agent.

Racetrack, great pics! I'm so glad you and your family enjoyed the park so much. I will agree that the Popeye ride is fantastic! I really liked Seuss land too, its just so cute and imaginative.

Pikester, hope FIL gets the kinks out of the pacemaker. More prayers your way!

Ev, sorry I missed Canada Day! Your post was so funny. You know, when I'm in your country, I never have seen cheddar soup! But then again, I'm usually with a herd of Filipinos, and we're always heading towards either dim sum or sushi....

Hi Kerrie! How are the kids! Enjoy the holiday weekend!

There was other stuff I wanted to say....I"ll have to go back and check. Either way, hello to everyone and hope you're having a wonderful day!

Hi, MK!!! Sorry to hear about the crazy weather you've been having. I know all about tornados. I grew up in Tornado Alley. Here its just been crazy hot!!

I hope ya'll have a great 4th of July!!!

Hi there Kerrie! I love how you change the pics in your siggie....your children are absolutely gorgeous. Is your area big for the July 4th holiday? My town doesn't do anything for it. We have a town founding celebration next month. So I go to the next town for my fireworks fix.

I just read this in a magazing the other day....there are 13 towns in the United States with the word "Liberty" in it. I thought there would be much more! And I happen to live in one of them! I thought that was cool!

Hi all:

BKMETV I think I must protest some of those statements.:scratchin But I do love #12. :rotfl2: Happy Canada Day!

There were definitely a couple that were quite a stretch...like taking credit for something that happened in the States because the person was Canadian.

Afternoon!!!

Is it time for school to start yet? Please! DD13 is driving me nuts today. She is in complete witch mode. She is constantly being rude to her sisters. And then she gets all mad when they are rude to her back. And she has pms too so that just adds to the drama. I really don't know if I'm going to make it through the summer.

Mine haven't even been out a week and I'm pulling out my hair...mind you this rain isn't helping, can't throw them outside. The sun is shining today but we're to scared to get excited yet, after a week of rain it seems too good to be true.:rotfl:

Sounds good...can I stop by for one?? Hope your FIL is feeling better soon.

I was really wary of trying those "bucket" drink mixes but once we did, they are pretty good. And that fact that they are easy to make makes it even better. I think I'll get a couple for the weekend.

We always have a bucket or two on the go at the pool...call them Mommy Slushies.

Hey Kerrie, nice to hear from you...our weather's crazy too but in the other direction, instead of 80s we been lucky to hit the 60s the last few days.

Ok, its officially over. I got my last tweaked ADR this morning. I managed to move my 50s PT from 7:20 to 4:05. Its a little early for dinner, but since that's the only night we'll be able to see Fantasmic, its better to eat early than to risk it. yeah!

I have a moral dilemma....every time I call about my ADRs, they keep asking me if I'm celebrating something. Truly, BF and I will be celebrating four years together. Is it wrong to say we're celebrating an anniversary? I don't really know what diiference it may make, but the Catholic in me is making me feel a little guilty....

And scary Universal is off the table for now. I haven't gotten him to offiically commit to MNSSHP, but its on my calendar and I'm threatening to go without him.
