I hope Jordan uses some of that prize money to buy some pants! Those were some booty-booty shorts! (I think they were shorts....)

I really would not mind coming in 2nd! Do you think Kevin was surprised about some of what was said about Natalie? They didn't say who everyone voted for did they?

I watched Biggest Looser too. There were 4 over 400! Two had to go to the hospital after the mile run.

Evening ladies.

Kitty, just think about how warm and cozy you feel in your flannel nightie. It seldom ever gets cold enough hear for me to use flannel jammies.
I hope your luck holds out on your casino winnings on through your little trip to Disney. You've still got a little time to tweak your dining plans!
Here's what the Disney website has to say about the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage:
Sail the Seven Seas Lagoon on a voyage that comes alive with boisterous song, swashbuckling tales of adventure, fearsome Never Land pirates and dazzling fireworks off the starboard bow!

Your adventure begins at Disney's Contemporary Resort when you check your meeting location at the Daily Event Board and gather with your sailing party. Before you head out into the moonlit evening, you're presented with a spread of beverages and snacks that include fruit, pastries and other scrumptious confections in a whimsical pirate–themed setting.

Take your young seafarer by the hand and head to the docks, where Captain Hook and the bumbling Mr. Smee are waiting to give everyone a proper send-off, complete with photo opportunities. Then "shove off" onto the glimmering waters of the Seven Seas Lagoon for a journey, the likes of which you won't forget! Experience:

* The refreshing humor of your comical pirate host, Patch, who leads you in merry song and high–energy Disney trivia games.
* The Wishes™ Nighttime Spectacular, enjoyed from a perfect vantage on the water. Watch as the sky over Cinderella Castle lights up in a brilliant fireworks extravaganza, accompanied by music and breathtaking pyrotechnic effects — the most elaborate in Magic Kingdom theme park history!
* On select nights, the voyage also includes a viewing of the Electrical Water Pageant. Barges festooned in colorful lights that depict Disney characters and American stars and stripes float by in a mesmerizing aquatic parade.

On the return trip, Patch regales you with the story of daring young Peter Pan. Not only is the tale a fitting conclusion to your journey, but a clue that points to one final surprise on the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage.

To everyone's delight, a very special guest waits shore and warmly welcomes you back. If you're celebrating a special occasion such as a family reunion, birthday or anniversary, you get special recognition — topping off a voyage that's nothing short of magical.

The Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage will run 4 nights a week starting from July 13, 2009 on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays.
I was already considering doing a fireworks cruise. Since this one had "manly" characters and a touch of silliness it seemed like it might include a little something for everyone in our group. Plus it was probably one of the only ways to make sure everyone would stay so I could watch the fireworks! A bit pricey but it's one of the special things I picked out for us to do. Here's hoping it is as fun as they made it sound.

JOCAmom, your DD is my kind of girl! Sounds just like the sort of question my DD would think up. Is it a common thing for daughters to argue with you over everything? Mine does that too.

It's way past my bedtime.

Goodnight M&N and Magikitty. It was nice chatting with you both you tonight.

I think that sounds great Marie. A special way to see the fireworks too.

Night everyone. Mom gets her root canal tomorrow---fun, right? HA!

Poor mom! I feel for her. I hate...or more like am terrified of going to the dentist.

Night all.

Morning all, just popping in to say hi. Been busy w/back to school stuff and meetings and events. Need to catch up, what else is new?:rotfl:

Good Morning! Chilly and overcast here...not even 50 degrees out! Brr!

disney54us....how you? Catch us up on how you've been doing! Did you know that LITC had a baby boy named Walter? He's so cute!

Marie...that cruise sounds so cool! We've done the Wishes cruise in the past and really enjoyed you. Never with Captain Hook and Smee though! So much fun, one of our faves to do.

Did you see the plans unveiled by Universal for Harry Potter next year? I'm so excited! I have to get a trip in sometime next year, although I don't think we'll do Disney again (we'll see about that though!)

Good morning...dreary day here. I don't think we are to get a lot of rain but who knows?
I'm getting out of cleaning today---taking Mom to the dentist. At least it's not me...I do need to get there though.
Howdy stranger...Disney54us---how are things in your neck of the woods?

 to Mom M&N.....I need to go to the dentist too. I'm actually taking my nephew to the orthodontist on Friday, I just never get to go! There's always something much more fun to do....

I get to check-in online tomorrow! Yippee!

Hi all:

Not much to add to the chat from yesterday...don't watch BB, missed the whole Kanye thing but saw it on youtube...he an A double S. Taylor Swift really was a class act about the whole thing. Nice to see someone my kids like that isn't a tart.

Disney54us...hey stranger welcome back.

Like the sound of the pirate cruise...it's about time they stopped ignoring the boys! It's not ALL about Princesses.

Not much new here...I have a newsletter to send out at school and a Home & School meeting tonight. Other than that it's the usual laundry etc.

TTYL

Ok, I just need to freak out for a little bit here...I just caught a bit of Meredith's Millionaire show and one of the guys that was on the show with me was on there! He won $100k, which I'm thrilled at, but where's MY callback? Why haven't they called me? Ugh....I'm absolutely pained by this. I wish I hadn't seen it...

MagiKitty I'm sure they wouldn't call everyone back at the same time. I'm sure they'll call you back.
M&N Congrats on the 18 lb weight loss! :yay:

I remember why I don't paint too often. :guilty: Seems the prep work takes longer than the painting. I still need to do some touch up but I wanted to get on the DIS. :) I thought I had a great idea with the spackle. It came in a tube and was supposed to come out the tip and then you spread it with an applicator. Well I squeezed and it came out the back all over me. So I ended up spreading it with my fingers. Luckily my walls are textured and you can't see my repair areas.
I had braces when I was an adult. I didn't have any problems eating anything (no pain). I guess I was lucky. My little sister would have to have soup for a day.

Hey DL55! sorry to hear about the spackle incident. Other than that, how's it going? You are so awesome for undertaking such a project! Its true, the prep is the hardest part, but so worth it in the end....

Hi MagiKitty! Just trying to decide if I want a second coat. I really just want to stop. Next up is the rest of the kitchen and family room (1 large room). That won't be for a couple of weeks as I'm insisting that DH help.

Do the second coat. You're already there anyway. And when it comes time to do the big room, you can always say, but I did two coats in the other room by myself! :rolleyes1

Way to go Kitty. My kind of person...encourage them to go the extra mile and you stay put! My work will always be here but you go ahead and put the extra coat on your room! :woohoo: I really wish I could get going on several projects but...

Mom's jaw is unnumbed and hurting some. She knows it'll get better. She took me out to Friendlys for taking her.

Not fair about the call back or should I say noncall back. Maybe they are just calling one at a time. Your time will come. You are already interviewed and they would not want to waste time on more new ones when they have some available who are already trained. Plus you don't have too far to travel to get there.

BTW Kitty--how were those flannels last night? I saw some Hello Kitty shortie pjs at JCP today.
