M&N...glad you appreciate my methodology! :thumbsup2 I'm always here to encourage my friends....

Ssh! I crawled BACK into my jammies! Its the Catholic school girl in me--change into your houseclothes as soon as you get home.

Hello Kitty shorties, huh? Embarassingly enough, I love voluminous, enormous, puddling nightgowns. I love the full length, long sleeve styles. And if my nightgown has pockets---I'm in heaven! I love to curl into a ball and enjoy my huge nightgown...I secretly pretend that I'm a Victorian heroine, like Jane Eyre or Elizabeth Bennett....

Still upset about Millionaire. I actually took charge and sent off an email to Milllionaire about my circumstances. They did get back to me to let me know that they are always looking for contestants....hmmm? I'm here! Take me!

Glee is on tonight....gotta get that tea and nightgown ready...

Mmm...Friendlys. I like their chicken salad--followed with some frozen yougurt of course! :lmao:

I'm afraid I was bad at Friendlys. I had some new sandwich that was on the 9.99 menu. It was like a cheese steak. Had lots of mushrooms...yum. I probably ate too many fries but not all of them. I had a sugar free hot fudge sundae. I said no whipped cream. She asked if I wanted the cherry...I said I would splurge! She laughed...

I know most of you all don't really follow NASCAR but I have to share---Racetrack came in 2nd last week in our picks. :woohoo: I post them for her so she can finish out the season. She didn't pick her Kyle because she didn't want to jinx him...well he was jinxed anyway! :woohoo: He didn't make it into the top 12! He lost by 8 points. Of course I have to be honest and say my Jr lost by a lot more but that is ok as long as KB didn't make it. You could even feel a little sad for him...he's won the most races so far this year but his other races were not good enough to get him the points. :yay: So those of you who see Racer on facebook can give her a little sympathy---or not!
See D&D, I can still talk smack without her! She can't get back at me either! This is fun!
Nicely done M&N. I still miss the track smack between you and Racer. Not the same when she can't fire back.
Beautiful email by the way! :thumbsup2

D&D....try Yapta to track your flights. I got my travel websites mixed up.
Thanks for that tip. My cheap flight on Midwest was back today. I so love their choco chip cookies on board and the fact that you get to pick your seats w/o charge - yet anyway.

[D&D, any luck with the airfare dilemma? I glanced online at AA for you and the shortest return flight I saw said it was 14 hours! Talk about taking the long way home! Guess I'm not much help!
Yikes...14 hours. I might as well drive. :rotfl2: Thanks for checking for me.

Ok, I just need to freak out for a little bit here...I just caught a bit of Meredith's Millionaire show and one of the guys that was on the show with me was on there! He won $100k, which I'm thrilled at, but where's MY callback? Why haven't they called me? Ugh....I'm absolutely pained by this. I wish I hadn't seen it...
 We're all hoping you get called soon. Right now you seem to be on a roll w/ winning money, so I think they should call you NOW!!!!

DL55- Good luck w/ your painting. You must post pics of this too. :thumbsup2

So proud of my school staff today. We all helped set up a real learning program for a special needs student that the public school system let down. I am so happy that she will finally get the services she needs from a great group of dedicated educators who make 3/4 to 1/2 the pay that public school employees get, but who put forth 110% because they are not here for the money, but to see kids learn. And, these are not teachers with fancy credentials or specialized degrees. Just purely dedicated and good at what they do. So glad to work here today! :goodvibes

Hello. I had to take my youngest daughter to the eye doctor today. She needs glasses. She picked out a pair of hot pink one and these funky brownish ones. Sorry to brag, but she just looked so cute in them.

M&N, we love to eat a Friendly's. Actually, my kids do since it's one of the few places that include a cool desert with their meal. I always order one of their appetizers as a meal there.

DL55, we are painting right now too. But out of necessity because of moving. Not sure if you said, but what color are you using?

Magikitty, I have my flannel pants on right now. It is cold as heck here, at least for me. I love hot weather and wish we could have had more of it this summer.

So cute: I was watching a Phillies game on tv the other night. A man sitting in the first row of the upper deck reached out and got a foul ball. He was excited. His little girl reached up and he gave her the ball. She right away threw it back. The dad just grabbed her and gave her a big hug. I thought that was so sweet to see his reaction. They even showed a replay of it on tv. When I got on AOL yesterday there was a picture of it on the news window. Today they had an interview with her. She's 3 yrs old and it was her 6th game. She said it dropped out of her hand but it looked like a throw on tv. The Phillies gave her another ball. Maybe you can view it:

There might be something under nbcphiladelphia.com too.

Edit---also saw a link to the catch. My dialup won't show the video...

Good morning TKers!

Cloudy and cool day here. Finally doing the chores I was suppose to do yesterday. Yay me!

M&N: I saw that on the news this morning! Poor Dad. What a story to tell as she gets older. "Hey princess, remember that time we were at the Phillies game and I caught the foul ball and you threw it back? Memories....:)".

Hello everyone else! Glad to see that disney54 stopped by.

DL55: Enough with the painting and tell us about the trip!

Have a good day!

Hi everyone!
Just spent an hour screwing around with my pictures. I really should practice with Photobucket more. I didn't put them in the folder I want so I think I'll re do the download. Plus I discovered I can only download 250 at a time. So I had to choose which ones I wanted. (Only the best to save) I'm not a great story teller and I NEED to have pictures.
The new washer and dryer arrive today. Maybe I'll take a picture of them. Right now the laundry room is just an empty square room. The color is Daffodil (yellow) I let DH pick the color after I narrowed it down some. He can't complain.

Hello everyone :wave2: Just trying to catch up a bit here......

Good morning everyone on this sad anniversary. Too many were taken on this day. Heaven welcomed so many angels.

Nice to see you LITC! How is the baby? Did he like the Golden Girls? ;)

Hey there JOCA'smom! Oh....planning a cruise. Sounds wonderful! Are you taking advantage of the kids sail free promo? With six of you, can you get adjoining rooms?

I was always amazed by how many people wanted to be kindergarten teachers. While adorable, it must be so hard! All those little ones adjusting to new people, new schedule, going to school all day! But gosh they're cute...

I think my sleeping habits are due to my ADRs! :scared1: I woke up today about 4 thinking that maybe I should change my Tokyo Dining ressie to Morocco. While I love Japanese food, especially free Japanese, Morocco is really the only place we haven't eaten at---we're not interested in China or Mexico. But then I realized that I enjoy Morocco CS just fine and I'm going to keep Japan. Silly me...

Big hugs to all of you today, as always.

Kitty-I think he enoyed the golden girls. Actually I think he just enjoys whatever is going on if he is being held!

Morning all:

Well we've survived the first week back...slowly getting my house back into some order. Today the schools do their annual PEACE WALK...appropriate being Sept 11th.

We have $1 and $2 coins now so they add up real fast.

Did this kid's mother not offer to pay?

Was given these websites for when I got around to the talk...you might find something useful on them: sexualityandu.ca & teachingsexualhealth.ca. These are both Canadian sites, which might be a little more liberal than the U.S. ones...but there are probably lots of American ones as well.

:lmao:

LITC...kiss Walter for me too!!

JO ~ Glad to see you stopped by again! We love new friends.

Hey Pike, D&D, DL55 and Sukie.

Hey Ev, consider Waltr kissed!!!!

MagiKitty Relax! ;)
POCAmom My DH is what I consider a picky eater (beef and potatoes). He never has a problem finding something to eat.

I've downloaded my pictures. Only took 493! I've already deleted three, so only 490 to decide to edit or leave alone. I feel I'm cheating if I adjust the pictures. :guilty:

Hi M&N, Pikester, BKMETV, and LivinInTheCastle!

Hi DL!!!!!!

Whew! Took awhile to catch up here! Y'all have been busy as usual.

LITC that boy is just too darned cute. I'd be kissing him a gazillion times too.

MK, take a deeeeeep breath, now relax. The world will not end if you make the "wrong" ADRs! You can always "fix" it next time!

JOCA, on a cruise, it has been my experience that they will pretty much give you anything you want as long as they have it available. So if you need something without the sauce, it should be no problem at all. I know someone who went on a cruise and ordered lobster every single night--and he got it too! You will be so pampered you won't know what to do with yourself!

I know there was more I wanted to comment on, but my brains are fried. Sorry I've been AWOL, but it's just been a crazy busy week, and I wasn't getting notifications, and somehow managed not to check out our thread. OOOOOPS! I'll be gone all day tomorrow and much of Sunday, but I'll be back, so don't send out the search party just yet.:lmao:

BTW, I think we've had about 3 inches of rain today. I am looking for my oars...

Thanks Wendy! I am still amazed at how lucky we are to have such a looker!!

Sorry I missed you LITC. You were the biggest news lately...maybe I should say Little Walter was the best news. I'm sure it's not too hard to sit and hold the little guy. Post a new pic of him...we need to see how he's growing. It's funny that your baby ticker says he's not here yet! I know you are sure glad he is.

DL55: Your laundry room sounds real bright! If dh loves the color so much maybe he'll love doing some laundry? ;)

I watched Survivor. There's a real nasty guy on it...definitely need to get rid of him but the only person who saw him as a threat got kicked off because he turned everyone against her.

Did anyone see the Medal of Honor ceremony today? SSG Jared Monti, who was killed in Afghanistan in 2006, received it posthumously (sp?). He was a REAL American hero.

He and my Mom were very close, as she "adopted" him as a soldier when he was in Korea, and continued right up til the end. My kids and I had the great honor of meeting him at Mom's several years ago, and he and Laura kept in touch sporadically for awhile. Mom visited him down at Fort Bragg, and kept in contact with his mother while he was deployed.

My parents went up to Cape Cod for his funeral, which was attended by all sorts of dignitaries--they even closed down the road to the Cape on a summer weekend for the motorcade! Well, today, Mom and Dad were at the White House for the ceremony. I even saw them on TV!! They got to see several of the rooms at the WH that you don't get to see on the tours. Dad said Obama looks older in person than on TV.

Tomorrow they will go to the Pentagon for the Hall of Heroes ceremony, and then a reception. Dad's been giving me frequent updates on their activities--he even called me from the White House!

If you want to read about it, I know FOX News has a video on their website, and CNN has an article about it. Also, he was on the front page of the Wall Street Journal today (above the fold!!) I guess I never realized what a big deal the Medal of Honor is--he's only the 6th person to get it since 9/11. It's the highest honor in the US Military. Pretty awesome. Then again, Jared was pretty awesome too.

Feeling very patriotic tonite.

I'll proudly post one in memory of SSG Jared Monti for serving our country.

Hi M&N. The kiddies have been sleeping for hours. School is wonderful for those early bedtimes.

How are you tonight?

I'm getting tired. I saw you on the Survivor thread. I followed the Big Brother one so thought I would get in on that thread. On the BB thread I found out stuff not on the tv because people had the live feed and would share from that. I also checked the cbs site and they are really pushing Russell as evil...and he is. I think they try and get strange characters to make it more interesting.

I'll have to look for you over on the Survivor thread. I never realized that they have threads about tv shows here. It's a nice way to chat with people who have something in common with you.

I think Russell's game plan is going to backfire on him sooner than he thinks.

I don't usually post on them but there are some tv show threads. I really don't watch much tv but get into these reality ones. I started Biggest Looser the first night too. I'll probably get tired of it and watch nearer the end. I don't like them getting screamed at by the trainers.
I just saw there are 2 Russells. I looked on the cbs web page at the cast.

Yes, there are 2 Russells but I'm sure everyone will be talking about the mean one. I usually don't watch much tv but there are a few shows that just suck me right in. I also watch Hell's Kitchen, though this season just seems a been there, done that type of thing. I also like Dancing With The Stars. I can't wait for that one to start.
