D...it is just insane that its taking this long to get your home fixed with winter fast approaching. As if your family hasn't been through enough. And then what little work was done, was done poorly! Grr...just document everything. And I agree with JO...bring the bit** stick out and bother the heck out of them to get them to do their job.

Thanks for the support about the teaching position. I just feel like I should try for it and then we'll see.

We are leaving next week to go to WI and I haven't done a darn thing to get ready yet. Even the suitcases are still in the basement. I keep thinking that if I wait to pack, I won't overpack for once.

You'lln know when you're ready to pack. It'll usually come at a time when you're avoiding something else. Or you'll get so excited for the trip you must pack.

We are only going for 5 days. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, we'll be spending with D and her family. Livvie has been asking me everyday when we are going.

I'll probably pack on Tuesday when the kids are in school. Then I won't have them adding to the piles of clothes to take.

It will be nice to get away and spend some time with good friends. The kids will keep each other occupied while the adults actually can have grown up conversations.

Now, I do have to find the swim suit. I haven't put it on since last year. Not sure I want to. Maybe I should just supervise at the water park?

Hush now! There is plenty of time between now and Tuesday to find that bathing suit. You can always decide later not to go in the water. But you should have it just in case. The news said the midwest weather was gorgeous.

We are staying at one of those resort hotels that have the indoor water parks. It even has an indoor amusement park.

Well, I've opened up the can of whoop *** quite a few times and have been calling pretty much every day to bug the heck out of them. I'm there worst nightmare right about now. Nothing seems to be making this go any quicker. Today their story is the product should arrive on Friday and they will be here next week to do the work. Yeah, right!!! Where have we heard that before?

The resort hotel is fantastic. 3 different water park areas, indoor amusements and mini golf, 2-3 different restaurants and various bars at the pool areas. Might have to take JO for a drink and a massage while the kids run wild by themselves.
Oh, and YES there are multiple hot tub areas so FIND THAT SWIMSUIT!! And don't worry, no one will be taking any pictues.

Kitty - I think that job sounds perfect for you. You would rock as a prof. Good luck!!

Pikester - I'm glad you're leaving that Sunday in Feb open. If we did get down there you'd have to come meet me that day as we go watch the shuttle take off.

Good morning ladies! I awoke to rain, but it seems to have cleared up. I hope it stays sunny. But then I see all the leaves in the yard and I'm reminded that I should take care of it. But I think I hate raking leaves more than shovelling snow. Dilemma.

Found out that the schools my niece and nephew go to was under lockdown yesterday. One of the rehab centers had a client who stabbed a security guard and took a nurse hostage. While driving, he repeatedly stabbed her. Then they crashed. Imagine that. The guy was on the run for a while but they found him. THank goodness. He was required to go to rehab instead of prison. That went over well.

I told you guys months ago about a friend's son who was accused to molesting his step-sister. He's out on bail, awaiting sentencing, but a classmate of the girl told her Mom that Caitlyn (the accuser) told her that she made it all up to get back at her Mom and Stepdad. They're trying to get her to testify, but then its the word of one girl against another. Its all a mess and its amazed just how scared I am of a little girl (well, she's 13). I'm sorry, but I think she's evil.

I found a ticket for my Mom! So excited, she needs to get out of here and see the house. Hopefully its done! I wish I could go with her, but we're planning a family reunion next April, which I not be able to attend if I get the teaching position. But I'll worry about that later.

Morning! It's really sunny here for a change. Just a bit windy but I'm complaining.

I just want to give you all an update on the sick kitty. He's getting better. For a while, he wasn't using his back paws at all.....just sort of dragging them around behind him. He was pretty lethargic too. Last night, he got up and starting walking around. He was wobbly and couldn't stand long but he was up. And he started trying to chase his sisters around to play. Hopefully, this is a sign of good things to come for him.

MK, that is a lot of scary stuff. Was that guy convicted of a violent crime and sent to rehab? And continued prayers to your friend's son. And I do believe some kids are evil. There is no other way to describe the things they do.

Yeah for sick baby kitty! He rocks and will be driving you crazy in no time!

The guy has a history. He got into a fight with his mother and ex-girlfriend then took their stuff and burned it outside. He was also convicted to beating up several guys at a party. He blamed it all on the alcohol. But now he was in rehab--I suppose no alcohol there--and was still violent. He's only 23. Not speaking too good for him.

This is the second time Caitlyn has accused someone of molesting her. Under interrogation, she messed up her story with Roger. SHe changed the time and place. She claimed it happened last Easter, but everyone was there. Then she changed her mind again, saying she got mixed up. Her father has always been vindictive towards his ex also. I think he coached Caitlyn to make these accusations. Thing is now, Caitlyn may be placed in foster care, coz her father has custody and too much has happened to her. It may be good for her to get out of there, provided she's placed somewhere that can handle her. Again, its a mess.

Its almost a blessing that Roger is mentally challenged. I don't think he fully comprehends just how being a registered sex offender will ruin his life. He just wants to remain out of jail. He's under house arrest now. They have this ridiculous thing where they buzz him and he has to call in. They do it ten times or more a day. And you have to pay for it! $18 each time you call in. Its nuts. I've learned more about the system than I ever wanted to. And it seems the system sucks sometimes.

I've always thought teenage girls were evil. When it comes to accusations I never completely believe a teen.

Hey Sukie! How are you doing?

DL55, the kitties haven't gotten to that lay around wherever stage yet. Right now all they do is jump from couch to table to the recliner seeing who they can land on. And then they take off again.

I have so much to do today and I really don't feel like doing anything. Livvie forgot her lunch so I do have to go run that up to the school but I think I'll just relax for the day. The kids have a 3 day weekend so I might as well do it while I can.

Excited and doing the happy dance this morning. DH bought the family tickets to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra for a day after Christmas concert. The boys love their music and we hear their concerts put on quite a show. Should be fun. This is our first pay concert w/ the boys. Their very first concert was a freebie at our state fair to see Night Ranger.

Kitty - You keep an eye on that niece and nephew of yours. Very scary.
That's terrible about the false accusations of that teen girl. What the heck is wrong with her?
