Hey Lighttech---lighting up qvc today? I didn't surf by it today. It's been moved to channel 3 and I don't go that low much! I only go to the budget board when JO or somebody tells about a good thread...

Rained a little today...every little bit helps.

Crappy day here today...cold and rainy...and I just discovered that the gas guy didn't fill our propane tank so I can't even put on a fire...arghh!

Real sorry I missed out in the book/mini-series chat...love reading and am always looking for something new. MK was Poisonwood the one set in Africa? I'm sure I've read it at some point. Read all the mini-series ones except for maybe Roots...which I probably should. Nothing's worse than a movie that is different from the book. They did that with Shelton's Rage of Angels...change the whole ending!!

Better get my butt in gear and make some dinner...it's hard to get motivated to cook for just the kids & I.

Yes, Poisonwood is about a missionary family in Africa. I haven't read any of her other books though.

I really enjoyed the mini-series Pillars of the Earth that was on Showtime recently (its on netflix too). I may have to re-read the book, because I remember feeling that the book was over-hyped.

Have my magazines packed for the plane on Tuesday. Fretting about what to bring to wear to meet the family again. Don't want to come off too frilly/uptight but I am so not a jeans girl. BF is annoyed about my magazine habit, but really, how much can you really chat on a plane? Its too darn loud! Got a little trash with Cosmo, a little girly with Marie Claire and a little intellectual with Vanity Fair. Well rounded.

oh, and I have mallomars packed. Hope they travel well.

Don't stress about the dress Kitty. They should be glad you don't wear those cut up jeans. I do like to wear jeans when it gets cooler. When is it going to be meet the future in-laws?

Well you should just have yourself to cook for EV...I don't do it. Got to go find something to nuke for dinner. I have raw broccoli and cucumbers for veggies. I'm not too hungry really. Maybe hard boiled egg sandwich...

In-laws, huh? As I said, we've discussed it and its not off the table, but we are in the slow-slow lane about it I guess. Sometimes I think about it and am like, what's the big deal? How much would it really change things? And sometimes when I think about being someone's WIFE, that scares the pants off of me. It depends on the day.

At this point in my life Kitty, I am so thankful I'm not somebody's wife. I have enough problems of my own. At least I don't have in-law troubles! I can go when I want...and read what mags I want on the plane! It does have the down sides too but I've learned to be happy doesn't depend on others. It comes from within.

I either like a dijon mustard or Miracle whip with it, but its totally personal preference. oh, I do have baby carrots. Maybe I'll just have some crudite with some cheese. M, you're so dangerous to talk to at dinner time!

I think that's part of my issue. I don't really see how marriage would change the way we are, except for when I fill out forms and check married instead of single. I'm sure there's tons more that I haven't considered yet, but just deciding on dinner has me in a tizzy, let alone a life-altering decision like getting married!

I just got a friend request on FB from a girl I didn't know. Her message asked if I were Kayla....my 15 year old niece! People usually think that she and my sister look alike, this is definitely a first for me! Plus, who is this girl who doesn't know either of our names???

I went with the egg and ate the cheese, cu's and broccoli on the side. I also had celery and peanut butter.

I just got my 1st sub job this year. A computer calls. Caller id says not provided so I didn't answer then had to run to the phone when the computer said it was the sub service. I needed to find my pin number...it's a 7 didgit number...how was I to know it? Thankfully, the papers were on my desk. I then had to have it repeat so I could enter that...then it said the job and date and I had to accept and then it repeats and gives a job number. I don't know if I need that tomorrow or not! I have no idea of what to do for lunch. I have nothing ready to go to Mom's. I was just surprised to get a call already this year. It's at my former school that is just 1 class of gr 1-5 so it won't be too confusing. I guess I won't be chatting late tonight!

And years ago, they use to play The Rocky Horror Picture Show at one of the local theaters. They would set a stage up in front of the screen for local actors to act out the movie while it played. Nothing like dancing the Time Warp with a hundred other people in a theater at midnight. Good times.

They used to have that in the city I grew up in.Not sure if they still do, and we moved out before I was old enough to attend something like that.
