Kitty - Would love to go to WDW for Free Dining but then only go to the parks 2 days and do the rest US.

JO - don't bother to clean the house cuz it just gets dirty again any way.

D....that's exactly what I was thinking. Its the park tickets cost that really puts me over the top. And I enjoy US...it wouldn't be Disney, but its still a great time. I know before that SEa World offered a combo ticket with SW and Busch Gardens, which is about an hour away. Oh no, my plans are getting crazy. But still, I think its doable!

I forgot to add that I got this crazy insane phone bill today. But in a good way! Somehow, I got pro-rated for Oct-March and received a credit for over $500! They owe ME money for once. I have no idea what happened, but I"m keeping that bill for evidence in case its some sort of mistake....

WoooooHooooo! Kyle won all the races this weekend. First time in history, if I recall correctly, that it has ever been done.

MK, I am crunching those numbers for next year. We haven't been since 08 and I am really missing Disney right about now. When I am much more sober, I am going to talk to my BIL and SIL about going. Been a long night of celebrating here. ;)

Morning all:

Jo ~ are you done celebrating yet?? Kyle had a great weekend!!

D ~ glad to hear about DH...fingers crossed for Dec.

Hey Sukie...long time no talk.

Hey MK & DL how's things?

Good morning ladies. Its been raining since last night, which made for good sleeping weather, but its terrible for trying to be productive today. Just want to cuddle up to a cup of tea and some reading.

Congrats to Kyle! (this is just for solidarity).

Sukie, did you enjoy your vacation? It goes by so fast, doesn't it?

I'm trying to find a quickie cheap flight on Delta. My family pools their airline miles, and we're 2000 miles from a free ticket to the Phils, which my Dad can use next year. BF and I are talking Kansas again, but of course the idea of Orlando is fresh in my head. Just a little jaunt, maybe three days, at least 2000 miles and some fun. We'll see what I can cook up....

Hi Sukie and BKMETV

Can't wait to see what MagiKitty cooks up to earn 2000 more miles. :wizard:

ah...DL55 knows me too well. I'm considering a mileage run. Its where you fly from place to place to rack up miles. Say, I find a cheap flight to Atlanta. Then from Atlanta to Dallas, Dallas to San Francisco, then back to NY. No real purpose other than to get miles. I'm waiting until Wednesday when the best prices are supposed to be. Otherwise, I may just consider a quick jaunt somewhere cheap. Puerto Rico seems to be on sale....We'll see what I can dig up!

MK, don't you have to buy 2 day tickets to get the free dining deal?

We wouldn't be going for a whole year and that is just giving me too many options. I like the idea of doing US too. Since we've been there before, I wouldn't be so worried about the front of the line access this time.

JO...I think you're right. That makes the budget even more tighter. Darn.

Hey all, just sent out another link to more Walter pictures. Check your emails. Walter has been teething bad the last few days, and wasn't feeling real well so these arent quite as good as the first sets.

LITC, you just made my night with that email. I really like P6 and P25.

MK, I just looked and it is 2 day tickets. And it does make it harder to budget. Add in that Universal upped their ticket prices. I would love to catch another 7-day park ticket for $99 like we got last time.

JO thanks and I am glad you enjoyed them.

I will have one more link for you all, but they wont be up until probably Tuesday.

OMG...Walter is just getting more and more handsome! Really, his personality comes right through those pics. I can just smell his sweet baby smell.

There was some promo earlier this year for a US/Sea World combo ticket. I hope they offer that again. JO, you'd have to go when the kids are off, right? I'd think once the HP craziness calms down, US would have another promo....or at least I'd hope they would!

Hey ladies:

Figured I'd come over here and save Jo writing in two places.;)

MK, we have to go when school is out now. Jackie will be going to 10th grade that year. And I don't feel comfortable taking her out anymore.

HI Ev!

Good afternoon ladies. I hope everyone had a wonderful and blessed Sunday! We went to church this morning and then took my son to a German restaurant in town. He loves all things German. :confused3 That's all fine and good but I do not think German food is particularly my cup of tea. Oh well, the kids enjoyed it and the place was "unique". Best of all I didn't have to cook! Leftovers too so no cooking tonight either.

Ev, so are you one of the foreign travel planning pros around here? Got any info on Germany or England? I'm thinking it would be nice to take my son someday. He's also a Sherlock Holmes fan and wants to see 221B Baker Street in London. I'm thinking, if it were to ever really happen, while we were at it we might as well stop in at Disneyland Paris since I would have to give up my DL trip to go. Anyway, as far as I see there is no harm in planning way ahead of time!

D&D, so glad DH got to hang onto his job! Here's hoping things start looking up before the next 3 months so that they do not have to layoff any additional workers.
I'll be sure to fill ya'll in on the Disneyland plans from time to time. I need to sit down and plan our dining ressies in a few days cause my 60 day window will be here before I know it. It is amazing how fast it starts rolling after 100 days! Wish I could pack up everyone here that dreads the family Thanksgiving get togethers and take you all with us!

Jo, you may be the only one I have ever heard of who would miss my "mini-books". Yes, I do tend to ramble. Guess I try to make up for the dry spells in between posts!
I do hope you make it to WDW for free dining. I think it is totally unfair that they don't run those type of deals at Disneyland. I could sure used some free dining. A realization came to me AFTER I changed our plans that Thanksgiving Day is blacked out on our APs so we will have to pay an additional $50 each for blockout passes to be in the park that day. On top of that, I asked my son where he thought we should have our TG meal and he said let's have 2 meals that day at our 2 favorite places since it will also be our last day. Great choices! Of course, one of them just has to be one of the most expensive places in the park. What the heck... it's only money, right? Good thing I've been saving up Disney gift cards. Looks like I better get a few more stashed!

DL55, I will be sure to give a full Thanksgiving report when we get back!
I bet that has to be scary to have a panic attack! Good you know now what to watch for. We went to one of DS's tournaments last weekend and it was extremely noisy and packed with people. There was a guy that was very close to us whose face was disfigured from being burned. My DD got so nervous she was in tears. I wondered if she might be close to having a panic attack. I ended up having to take her outside to calm her down. We spent the rest of the day waiting outside of the main hall where it was quieter.

Kitty, that would be very hard to stay onsite and resist the urge to be in the park more than one day. You must have better will power than I do! I have no doubt you will come up with a great plan.

Sukie, welcome back. It's always good to get home but still a bummer to be through with your vacation. November will be here in no time so maybe you will get to do something else worthwhile then.

LITC, poor Walter. Hope he's at least loveable when he doesn't feel good. Mine always were. Thank heavens that teething doesn't last too long! Can't wait to see the pictures!

Marie, your posts are great and almost always give me chuckle. I know you open 2 windows when you post here but I know I could never remember everything I wanted to comment on even if I did that.

I think I have decided where we, ok I, want to stay if we go. The family suites at All-Star Music. It's only $150 more than getting 2 rooms at Pop. But we would get a kitchenette, separate beds for the 2 older ones, and Curt and I would get a queen size bed for ourselves.

I've been showing pictures and stuff to Curt and he seems receptive so far. He liked the suite I showed him so that's a good thing.

Question......I usually book using a TA. But if you book yourself on Disney website, you can still make payments, right?

Good morning ladies. It is STILL raining! Its insane. I'm starting to build the Ark....

JO---I"m not sure about website booking, but I know you can definitely make a payment over the phone. So what timeline are you thinking of taking advantage of FD? During the summer?

Marie--your DS sounds like he has the true spirit of TG!

I'm still having problem with my water delivery service. I'm not receiving invoices, so don't know how much I owe them. I've left two messages and no one has gotten back to me. I may have to switch. I'm not liking this so-called service.
