It sounds like his fiancee likes to spend money from what they have said about teh wedding. I think Kyle does have a good charity--as do most of the drivers.

Most of them do a lot of charity work. Nothing real flashy nor do the broadcast it to the media but they do put their hearts into it.

It must be hard marrying into that kind of lifestyle. Those guys are never home.

Did you get to see the race? I really wanted to see some more of the pre-race stuff with the driver intros. They all got to pick their own songs. Kyle had one written just for him (proceeds from the download going to his charity, of course).

I did not see much of the race...mom had to watch the Phillies. Plus I knew that Jr was way down there in the start and really didn't think he would come up. Not much confidence I guess.
I heard they probably will not make rule changes to keep cup drivers out of the Nationwide races. I think Carl will run a full schedule next year--is he this year?

No, I didn't. I'll have to go check out pictures from the race. But it is about time.

I'm not sure if Carl is running the full schedule this year. But maybe he needs to run the full Nationwide series to win something.

They did announce that they are cutting the purses for the Nationwide series next year. I think by 20%. That just hurts the regular drivers over there and makes no difference to the cup drivers.

I saw a couple of articles there talking about if Hendrick was smart in getting rid of Kyle to sign Jr. I just don't think Hendrick is the right fit for Jr. Maybe he should have stayed at DEI and actually fought for more control of the company.

Good morning! Still yucky and fall-like out there, but today is supposed to be the last of it. Its one of the joys of summer--I can use the weather as an excuse not to do laundry. But now the laundry pile is getting dangerously overwhelming and I can't put it off much longer.

Travelocity just sent me a liar email. They said the flights I had searched for over the weekend has gone down 30%! Got me so excited! And then I checked, NOPE. LIARS! Its the exact same price it was when I last checked. I guess its better than it hasn't gone up. But makes me think that perhaps the flights will go down some in the next few days and they're pushing to sell seats at a higher price.

Has anyone seen Pikester? She usually checks in...has she been on FB?

Summer is winding down alright---I have brown leaves in my yard already!

My little birds are back...saw a little yellow one yesterday.

I have a random yellow/black bird too! From what I can tell, there's only one and he doesn't visit very often. I've gained a few more pigeons, there's about 5 now. Most of my birds are starling, morning doves, bluejays and cardinals. I have a few random crows that are absolutely enormous, but doesn't that also mean there are dead animals somewhere nearby? I thought they were carnivorous....
