TIW for drinks

So for TIW can this be used like if you are at one of the restaurants and just getting drinks from the bar? Like say we just want to grab a drink in Morimoto's after having dinner at Paddlefish, would we be able to use the discount or no?

Trying to decide if it's worth it for me for my next trip. Based on my math (and what I think we'll order) with the additional $150 cost it will only save me ~$6 but thats not accounting for drinks we may grab after dinner at certain places.

The last time I calculated it you need to buy $750 worth of food and drinks to break even. Plus the cost of the necessary annual pass.

If the restaurant takes TIW, you can absolutely just order drinks and get the discount. We've done that several times at various places.

I already have the annual pass (kicking myself for not remembering to buy the TIW when I was just there the last time - would have definitely been worth it).

Once you know your plans, be sure to calculate the difference in savings between an AP discount and TIW discount. Depending on where you dine and how much you typically drink, the savings may not be worth it. You get 20% with TIW and 10% with AP, and no alcohol discount with AP, but you have to spend a lot more than $750 to get a return on your investment. Now that AP discounts are available at most TS restaurants and good for both lunch and dinner, TIW doesn’t make sense for us anymore - unless we can get two trips out of it. (Of course that may change now that my son is 21 and I’m buying him drinks!)

We are getting three trips (three long trips) out of our TiW card! And we really like our wine. And lounge visits. This one is so paying off!!!!

A good ap to have is mouseperks. It lists all the different discounts. It and the TIW list are moving targets. I have been in places where it is listed they take it and they don't and been in places not listed and they do. I just ask about both AP and TIW.
