Tips to predict military rates?

I’m currently booked on a 7 night sailing in April 2026 on the treasure.

Has anyone notice a pattern to which cruises will offer a military rate?

There are currently 128 empty rooms on the ship which seems like a lot compared to the same itinerary 2wks before ours which has 17 empty rooms.

Trying to decide if I should cancel my cruise and hope any cruise comes up that week with a military rate.

I'm in the same boat (literally and figuratively) and I'm waiting until closer to final payment to decide. That being said, I'm looking to switch from April to January, which has a much higher likelihood of being discounted. I'd still wait, even if I wasn't planning to change the dates, but looking at the rest of this year, I think discounts are likely unless something changes politically in the US (I'm not discussing the politics just pointing out the facts, travel is down and Disney + just lost a bunch of subscribers).

DCL doesn't always list all of their available inventory online. So, looking at empty rooms online for any particular sailing may or may not actually be a good indicator of how full the sailing is.

Only you can decide really how willing you are to gamble. For me, if I want to cruise, I'm booking the cruise. If a discount comes along later on then I'll deal with it. But that's just me, others may feel differently.
