I just got back from our very first cruise ever on the Disney Dream. I am an over planner and spent many hours on here learning everything I could before we left. Here is my advice to others:

1)RELAX! You can't know or plan everything. There is so much to see and do, just relax and stop stressing. The crew is so nice, if you have any questions, just ask. Our room host gave us tips and advice every day. Just talk to them or other guests and you will be fine.

2)Try different foods. We are super picky eaters but we took the advice of our server every night and loved everything. We tried things we never would have and were so surprised. The food is excellent, go outside your comfort level, you will be glad you did.

3)Eat in all of the main dining rooms. We didn't plan on doing that but I'm so glad we changed our minds. They are all really special and worth seeing.

4)See all of the shows. Either in the theater or on the tv in your state room. They were all so much fun to watch.

5)Be patient. There are alot of people on the ship, and not everyone is thoughtful of others. It's easy to let it get to you but just try to be patient and don't let them ruin your magic. :)

HAVE FUN!! :)

Great recap. Thanks for sharing. It sounds like you had a nice time.
May I ask a few other questions that might be useful for data gathering purposes.

Did you pack anything specific that you might not have thought of yourself, and did you use it?
What was your favorite activity or event?
What was your least favorite activity or event?

Good questions....hmm...I packed clothes pins and didn't use them....I packed a card to use for the lights and that came in very handy. Put a little magnet on the back of an old photopass card, worked like a charm and I kept my key card in my lanyard.

Favorite activity....watching the fireworks or just relaxing on the balcony. Mother nature puts on quite a show out there. Sun rises, sun sets, rainbows, lightning storms in the distance. So amazing!

Least favorite....the pirate show....the early one. It was a fun for kids but for us it was not worth being packed in like sardines. The later pirate show with Jack Sparrow that started the fireworks was more worth being stuck to other sweaty people...lol
