Heading over to HHI next week before going to BCV for Member Homecoming :Pinkbounc (will we be the ones travelling furthest for this?)

Although we love taking it easy with breakfast on the balcony we are also really looking forward to a big breakfast on one or two of the days. Does anyone have any tips... pancakes for example?

We don't eat out that much for breakfast when we're there. the HH Diner and Crackerbarrel are two of the best I've seen and they are both an easy bike ride away. HH Diner would even be walking distance but it's maybe half a mile. Other options could include brunch at Cafe Europa and the Westin. The Westin is expensive for a buffet. Cafe Europa is inside Sea Pines where you have to pay $5 per day to get in the gate. So plan everything you want to do inside Sea Pines to get it done the same day.

There is a new pancake house not too far from the resort -- going towards Sea Pines. It's where Crabby Nick's (I think that was the name of it) used to be. Haven't tried it yet, so I can't tell you how it is.

We have done the brunch at the Westin and it is very good, although, as Dean said, it's a bit on the pricey side.

There is another diner -- Main Street Diner, I believe -- that is supposed to be very good. It's towards the mainland, on the right side of the road.

We also like the breakfast sandwiches from Tide Me Over -- and their French toast is awesome, too!

Have a wonderful time!!

Cracker Barrel is nice as it is just down the way. I am guessing about 1-2 miles. We did a late big breakfast at Cracker Barrel and enjoyed it. I also saw an IHOP but I can't remember where.

When you check into DVC HH, they give you a big restaurant guide, so it shouldn't be too hard to find something.

Good luck.

Like someone said there is a pancake house where crabby nicks was. I have not eaten there though so I couldn't tell you how it is.

Also mentioned are the Hilton Head Diner, Main Street Diner, and Cracker Barrel.

To get to IHOP. Turn left out of the resort. Stay on 278. After you pass Port Royal Plantation the IHOP will be the second light on your right. You can't miss it.

There is an absolute kick butt place called Kenny B's French Quarter Cafe for either breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I don't think it's well known, but we stumbled upon it and loved it!

all of the above mention is good. if you are looking for a huge resort style buffet, i like the one at the Crowne Plaza Resort. it is in shipyard plantation.
