Tips for A of A room selection

Good Day,

My family back in 2016 stayed for one night (before going to our Disney Cruise) at A of A resort in a standard room. I believe they are called or termed the Little Mermaid room/section. Looking for help or tips in how to book a standard room (non-suite) in A of A. Currently for our next Disney vacation I can't find any available during our preferred time to visit, but we are flexible to move our dates as we are looking at some other flight options that are cheaper.

Any feedback on how best to search when these Standard rooms at A of A become available would be greatly appreciated!

I did a quick search and I was able to find for second week of Dec but not the first, there was availability last week in February and first week or April.

How long of a stay are you after?
