Tipping ME driver?

Do y'all do this? If so, how much? Need to know for TOMORROW!!

Just back last night -

We didn't on the trip to the resort because he didn't handle any of our luggage, but on the way back to the airport he did load and unload our suitcases, so we tipped him $5.

By the way, ME was GREAT! We only waited about 5 min. to check in at the counter, about 5-10 min. in line waiting for the bus and then about another 5 min. sitting on the bus before it left. Our bus was heading to Wilderness Lodge, Grand Floridian, Contemporary and Polynesian. It took about 35 minutes to get to the Lodge from the airport. Not sure where it went next as that was our stop.

On the trip back, they said we would be leaving around noon and they were right on time. Don't know where they had picked up before us (maybe the Contemporary), but there were already people on the bus. After us, they picked people up at the Polynesian and then Grand Floridian.

If you're going to fly, ME is the way to go!

If the driver handles any baggage for us, we tip $1 per bag. However, I have on occasion, tipped the driver even though he didn't touch a bag (we had only our carryon bag). He was just so darned entertaining during the ride to our resort, I felt he should get a bit extra, so gave him $5. He was dumbfounded to say the least.

I tipped 5.00 for the ride. It is a service, therefore you should tip.

We also tip $5 (there's just two of us), even though he doesn't have to load luggage. (Maybe it's 'cause we're originally from NYC where you don't leave a cab without tipping; the driver would be !)
Plus, the DME drivers we have had have been very nice!

The normal tip for a courtesy shuttle bus driver, who assists with luggage, is $1-$2 /bag. Remember most of your carryon bags will wind up going under the bus. The DME buses don't have the large bins or even a lot of room under the seat in front of you that planes have.

Many (most?) guests don't tip. Even if you don't have any luggage I'm sure a few dollars is appreciated.
