Timing of getting to HDDR by car and going to MK after?

What time should I leave the BWV to make a 4pm HDDR? I have my tickets, but want to get our photo taken. What time should I plan to arrive there by? Also, I have some FP+ for that evening at the MK. Can we bait over to the MK and leave our car at the FW and boat back and pick it up? Thanks!!

If it were me, I would leave the car at TTC and head to MK and take the boat to WL/FtW. I would leave BWV by 2:30-3. That would give you plenty of time to park, and boat over to FtW.
That way you can just boat back over to MK after the show, and then return right to your car.
If I'm remembering correctly, you have to park in a lot and then take an internal bus to the HDDR area. That's the one area of WDW I'm least familiar with.

I'd just drive to Ft. Wilderness since you have a car anyways and then when the HDDR review is done drive over and park at the TTC.
Technically you aren't supposed to leave your vehicle at Ft. Wilderness more than 3 hours since you aren't staying there. Although I don't know if they are checking for that anymore.
An added bonus is then you definitely wouldn't need to leave your resort until about 2:45p.

And yes, you would have to take an internal bus to the HDDR area. that is what takes awhile. We had to wait for a half hour for one and then we ended up taking a nice long route to HDDR so it took nearly an hour from the time we parked our car at Ft. Wilderness to get to the HDDR area.

That was the part that bugged me. Other than that we loved the HDDR.

Or....just take the bus to MK from BWVs by 3:00. Then, boat over to FtW. Do the HDDR thing...boat back to MK, have your fun there, and take the bus back to BW from MK.

as Goofy4tink says I would park at TTC and boat over from MK as there is no car parking at Hoop Dee Doo. you will have to park at front of campground and take a bus to Hoop. the boat docks at same area of campground. after show you will then have to take bus back to your car. parking lot is about a mile from that area.

Or....just take the bus to MK from BWVs by 3:00. Then, boat over to FtW. Do the HDDR thing...boat back to MK, have your fun there, and take the bus back to BW from MK.

Depends on how long you want to take to get back to BWV. You can do what you're proposing, but you will have to take the boat back to FW, then an internal bus back to your car, then drive back to BWV.

I like the idea that other folks pointed out to take the bus to MK, boat to HDDR, boat back to MK and bus back to BWV. That would really be the easiest and quickest.

However, if you're going over Christmastime, then you could spend some time at FW to see the camper decorations. They are awesome!

No need to take the internal bus. The boat dock is close to Pioneer Hall (HDDR).

Get off the boat at FtW, walk up the only path there,,,takes you right to HDDR, about a 3 min walk.
