We have never done rope drop, but I'm determined to get my DH out of bed early this year for at least a MK rope drop (want to see morning show).

Our trip is first week in December. What's the better plan, schedule FF+ first thing so we can start getting additional FF+ ... OR just doing whatever we can with fewer people in the park and schedule our FF+ for the afternoon?

Thank you!

There are many devotee's of either of those plans (as well as other plans.)

A good case can be made for doing either of them, so just do what you think best,
based on how easily you can get your first 3 attraction choices and at what times of the day.

(BTW, the abbreviation of FastPass+ would be FP+.)
;)

Thank you for the feedback! Ack! Sometimes my fingers type two Fs and I don't realize it before I hit submit! LOL :)

Get FP+ starting around 10 or 11 for things in tomorrow land and/or fantasy land. You really don't need them until about 9:30-10. I believe park should open at 8 that time of year.

If you are there at rope drop head straight to Frontierland and go on Splash and Thunder you can get done with both in an hour (go on thunder first, its a 3-min ride so you get out quicker before lines get longer compared to splash 15 min ride) With this you hit the back of the park and can walk back through adventure land or liberty square and then start with those attractions like Pirates and Jungle Cruise (AL) or Mansion (LS) and then go for your FP for rides that become very busy in Fantasy Land/ Tomorrow Land.

Everyone seems to head to fantasyland first. Generally if its the closest that's where the crowds head.

100% get a FP+ for Mine Train. If not you are looking at 100 min wait minimum during Thanksgiving/Christmas time.

Have a great trip!
