Timing of Dinner before MVMCP and MSEP/Wishes?

ADR date approaching and not sure what to do about these 2 days.

One day we will have been in the MK all days, so I'm looking for a TS in the park or at one of the Monorail Rsorts to "decompress" for a while before MVMCP. Thinking Cali Grille..kids would live the view.

The other we will be hoping from EPCOT solely to do 8:00 p.m. MSEP and 9:00 pm. Wishes. So we could eat at EPCOT before we leave, at a Monorail Resort or in the MK.

But what time do I want these meals to leave enough time get in line for character meets at MVMCP and to get to the FP+ spot for MSEP? First time visit so not sure of timing for meals or transportation.

I would not recommend Cali Grill for the MVMCP night because it opens at 5:00 which will be too late to get in line for a rare character. Lines for the most popular characters start as early as 5:30-6:00 to reduce wait time during the party. You could do a TS in the MK around 4:00 so that you won't have to worry about travel time.

For the MSEP/Wishes night you could have dinner at Epcot around 5:00. Then depending on whether you are closer to the front of the park take the monorail or if you are towards the back of World Showcase, walk to the Beach Club and take the bus to the MK.
