Getting excited about making my first DVC ressie as a member. I think I have gathered from these boards that the seven months runs from the day I will check out, not in: so if I want a one night arriving 10/2, checking out 10/3, I would call MS on 3/3--is this correct? Further questions: what time does MS open? If I wanted a ressie checking out 9/29 or 9/30, is the window 2/28, or 3/1--since there aren't generally 29 and 30 days in Feb. Thanks for the info--you were all instrumental in my decision to buy.

Sort of. March 3 is the day but MS is not open on Saturday and Sunday. If the day falls on the weekend or a holiday then you can call the first day they are open....which would be Monday, March 4. They open at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time.

I'm not sure what the policy is for 9/29 & 9/30. You could call or e-mail MS and ask them to get the "for sure" answer.

You should be able to make your ressie on Feb 28th.

From the Member Guidelines:

The "corresponding date" is the date of check out for the desired reservation; if check out is to occur on June 25th, then the corresponding date is the 25th. If there are no dates that correspond directly to the reservation check out date, then the last day of the month is when reservations may be requested. For example, a Member who wishes to check out on January 31, may request that reservation on February 28.

The example given is for the 11-month window, but it should be the same for a 7-month window. Your Sept 30 would be the 7-month equivalent to a Jan 30 at 11-months

This statement is from an older guide. I couldn't find it in the latest Member Guidebook, but I have no reason to suspect that they would have changed this policy.
