What is the ONE thing you would change about DVC, DVC rules?

I don’t know that I’d call it a reverse walk. In my mind walkers are booking dates they do not plan to keep as they walk their reservation forward towards the dates they really want. Under the old system folks were booking nights they intended to keep, they were just doing it one day at a time to make sure they got all of their days. So for my typical 10 night stay I’d need to call MS 10 mornings in a row adding a day to my reservation each morning.

It’s definitely not a walk and this stops walking. The question is whether it’s a better or worse booking way for owners as a whole.

The board said they changed it because of the complaints the day by day owners were doing, and felt they had to do to not end up with gaps…which some did.

This was all before online booking and how much larger DVC is now…

So, we continue to wait and see if they find a way to change the booking process rules to fix it without making it something many owners see as worse, not better.

Glad I’m not them.

I wish direct DVC members were given a fast track for Disney Druise Line Castaway Club status. It would cost Disney nothing, make DVC-Direct more appealing, and incentivize DVC members to book a cruise. Members would appreciate the free perk too; it's a win-win-win.

If they gave DVC members a status-credit for 3 sailings, and take a cruise out of curiosity (and get to immediately use Silver Status), that would bring them to 4 cruises. At that point, they're only one cruise away from Gold Status and officially on the hamster wheel of chasing status.

This is a great idea!

The drop down friends and family list that autofills on reservations would be really nice

Your web browser should be able to do this. I would prefer a "family" toggle and it fills in everyone in the family instead of selecting each person.

For me everyone is just a click on Name and it shows everyones name and I select the one I want. This even works for addresses and phone numbers if I wanted.

incentivize DVC members to book a cruise

It wouldn't hurt along with DVC discount on booking cash cruises as well of like 10% or whatever the future cruise booking discount is on board.

Meanwhile for the same price as a Verandah on NCL or MSC I can book a suite, with a butler, with a drink package included, with a suite only dining area (better than anything other than Palo/Remy on DCL), and with a suite only pool.

Maybe a less common opinion, but more resorts with club level options through DVC or at least the ability to add this on as cost to DVC rooms. Discounted cash stays for club level could also be an alternative, beyond the horrendous hotel point exchange program, but less ideal as we would just prefer to put cash into DVC!!

Greater OTUP purchase options would also be nice to see on the occasion to upgrade view or an extra night, rather than needing to get another contract. 24 sometimes does not go a long way.

I think a lot of IT improvements could be made to the dashboard as well :)

Not booking regular guests into accessible rooms
Do you mean not assigning accessible rooms to guests who didn’t specifically book one? Personally, even though our accessible villa for our last stay in January had its quirks and annoyances, I would rather have that than no villa at all! And if I found out we weren’t able to get a villa at all, while an accessible villa went empty because no one booked it, well, I’d be angry.
