How long does it take from the time you order the DVC AP until you actually get the voucher? We are in the process of moving.
Also, I just want to confirm that the date on the AP will coincide with when we hand in the voucher, not when we order it, correct? We are not going until December, but I want to order the DDE card. Can we order that with just the voucher? How long does that take to get?

Your AP will have the date from when you activate it but your DDE will have the date from when you order it so you may want to order it much closer to your trip. Yes you can order it from the voucher numbers. We actually ordered ours the day we activated our AP and were able to pick up temporary cards at EPCOT guest relations that day after 5PM. You do need to order on a weekday if you do that as DDE is not open for ordering on the weekend. You could call from home a few days prior to the trip if you are arriving on a weekend and have them send the temporary cards to EPCOT for you to pick up. This is only important of course if you plan to make a second trip within the next year from when you purchase it. I ordered ours during our trip the last week of Sept 2005 and they expire 10/31/2006. This will cover our trip in Sept this year and we also used it in April. Good luck with your move and hope you have a great trip.

If you order the AP online, through the DVC website, you will be able to print your voucher- you don't have to wait for them to mail it. This way you don't have to worry about moving before it comes in the mail.

Unless it has very recently changed, you will be printing an email confirmation, not a voucher.

The numbers on the email confirmation cannot be used to order the DDE card. The Dining CM will need the numbers on the back of the actual voucher or pass to process an order for the DDE card.

Best wishes -

I received ours in about six days at the most. Depends if weekends are factored in.

I ordered our AP's online and received them within a week. I think it was six days. I am going to wait to order our DDE card because our trip is towards the end of August and I want to be sure it will be valid through August '07. When I spoke to Rosa (at DDE) she told me if I called after a certain date, I would have a card valid through 8/07. Now I cannot remember the date! lol! :confused3

Last time I ordered the APs on-line, we got them in less than a week, and I waited until about 4 weeks before our trip to order the DDE card. It came in plenty of time for our trip, and by doing that, the DDE card had the correct expiration month we needed.

It's probably July10 or maybe even July 7. Ask the CM when you call to order jsust to make sure your card will be valid through the end of August 2007. I'm sure the CM will be happy to help - they were when I called to order mine and had the same concern.

Don't worry about getting the actual card in the mail before you go. If it doesn't arrive before you leave for WDW, just call WDW Dining back and ask to have a temporary card sent to EPCOT's Guest Relations. (Dining only uses the GR at EPCOT's main entrance for this). You can pick up your temp card there and use it for your first trip. But your card will probably arrive before your trip if you order it on July 10.

Best wishes -
