Time to DOUBLE up!! 2 for 1 Pre-TR!!!!!!! TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED!!!!!!!

Juliana did awesome today at her scans & appointment. After her check-up with the doctor, she told us she was going to sit by herself for the bloodwork. Mel and I looked at each other. :confused3 When her nurse came in, Juliana jumped onto Mel's lap. This is nothing new... we thought- here we go again. But she sat there still and let the nurses draw her blood without screaming, fighting, kicking, or crying. She watched them and did a great job. We were so impressed with her. Even her nurse said how impressed she was. Her nurse said when she sees us on the schedule she gets sad because she loves Juliana and has a hard time taking her blood.

We got a call later in the afternoon with results of clean scans and great counts! We are relieved! We have to see them again in 3 months then in August/September- then we are going to 6 month appointments.

We were also asked to be interviewed for a CCMC fundraiser which will be airing on a local radio station at the end of the month. We are supposed to go Wednesday morning but they are calling for up to a foot of snow here, so we might have to re-schedule.

Aw, that's so great Juliana was such a big girl! :cutie: And I'm so glad the results were good!

How cool you're going to be on the radio!

That's such awesome news!!

Juliana,

I'm so proud of you!! What a big girl you were to sit for the nurse so nicely and be so brave! I'm so happy that you are growing up healthy, and strong. I can't wait to hear more about your trip to Disney!!

Love you, hon!

Ms. Liesa

It's awesome that you got great news! Kids are a lot stronger than we think, some of the things kids go through most adults could not handle. Good for her for being so brave.:)

I can't wait to her about her trip!!

She is strong. When she was getting discharged from the hospital the instructions were to keep her quiet and relaxing for few days since she was going to be sore. Well the moment we got home it was like we never left. She was running around and playing with all her toys she missed for 1 1/2 weeks.

The trip is coming fast!!!!:goodvibes

I'm so glad to hear the scans and tests went well. I am impressed with Juliana's tolerance for the draws! It will be so wonderful for you guys to go to 6 months after the next round.

Good luck in your interview!

Well her tolerance was the best ever this trip. It really amazed us!

Our interview isn't going to happen tomorrow. They are calling for 10-20 inches of snow here starting before sunrise. I'm not taking the girls anywhere, although I still might hit the gym first thing in the morning. :goodvibes

SO glad all went well!!!! Hope you can all relax a bit now. Thanks for letting us know.

I've been lurking trying to get caught up and I finally have so wanted to post....

That is such great news about Julianna's bloodwork! :cool1: So glad that they have given you a date for when you can go to 6 months between visits.

Thanks!!!

I don't know if we will ever relax.. it is starting to get a little easier.

It is crazy that August 12, 2007 was her last chemo. She is almost to 3 years off treatment.

Make sure you haul Jul around on a sled just a little, and build us a big, fat snowman and post a picture!! When I was little my uncle and I built a really big one, then poured antifreeze on it to turn it pink. It was soooooo cool!!

Mel bought me a Mickey snowman kit that was in my Christmas stocking. We packed it up in the attic but I might have to get it down. Hopefully it will be the right type of snow for a snowman. All our snow this year has been the fluffy variety. (although it is better for shoveling when it it light & fluffy;))

Ana has a few snowtubes she likes to sled in. We will be doing that at some point tomorrow!

I know what you mean. Kind of a trade off; easy shovelling OR a snowman. Can't have both. :lmao:

For Juliana, I'll take the heavy snow. ;)

Hurray for an easy lab test. Lets hope the results are as good as the draw.

We got the results back and they were good!! We don't have to go back for 3 more months. We are really happy and thankful that everything was good. :)
