Awesome present. However, two things came to mind:
1. You said Mel got you the cruise for a present. Seems like she got herself a present and let you come along. I'm just sayin'...
2. The ship looked nice, but I think it would be several orders of magnitude cooler to take the Intrepid out on a cruse to nowhere.![]()
1. You are correct! But having a nice night out was worth it as a gift to me.
2. That would be awesome! As long as I was able to fly one of the MIGs they have onboard!
I've never heard of such a thing. How cool is that? were there that many people on board?
Lion King Play...it's amazing...It looks like the theater wasn't that big. It looks like every seat was pretty good.
The ship was packed! I don't know if it was sold out but I would say it was 80-90% full. You can do everything you do on a normal cruise but in 1 day.
I think the Bushnell in Hartford seats around 1500 people. It is a smaller theatre. We also had front row seats in the mezzanine, so we had great seats.
I LOVE this pic! I've never been to the Big Apple (sadly) and this is a perspective I've never seen. So cool!!! Loved all the city views. What a fun night. Wonder if they do that in San Diego.....
I found one leaving from L.A.

I would think you would be able to find one from San Diego. The one bad part was having to wake up, pack, and go. A two day cruise to nowhere would of been key!
