Time from MCO to POP on ME?

Our neighbors are going to WDW for the first time. They are staying at POP Century and taking ME. They want to know what is an average time from MCO to POP, if there are any other resort stops first, etc. We have never taken ME so I figured I'd post so I could give them the low down. They will arrive a little after 1PM. Thanks!

The resort stops on DME can vary depending on the driver and what other resorts people need to get to at that specific time.

The average time from MCO to a hotel is around 90 minutes. If one is lucky it can be shorter around 60 to 70 minutes or longer at 2 hours on a bad/busy/slow day.

We almost always take DME and we usually come in at the 60-70 minute range from the time the plane arrives at the gate until we arrive at the resort. Only once did it take us 90 minutes and it has never take us two hours although I have read reports from others where it has. However, we don't dawdle in the airport. We get off the plane quickly and go to DME immediately.

The last time we stayed at POP we stopped at Caribbean Beach first. As far as time goes, it really depends. We have waited a long time, for a Spring Break trip, and arriving in the middle of the day. We have also walked on to a bus when we flew in around 8 pm at night this last May. I think a good rule of thumb is counting on it taking at least 90 minutes from the time you land to get to the resort.

If they dont like the idea of waiting another option is to take a car service from the airport to Disney. We have used Tiffany Towncar in the past and have been very happy with them. It is $60 each way or $110 for round trip.

I have taken DME to POP about 5 times now...dh and dd have also taken it without me. All except one time, the bus went to Pop first, then on to the other resorts. Of course, that isn't etched in stone.
Plan on it taking an average of 70 mins from gate to resort.

I have had times in the area of 65 most times, while my times taking a car service, with checked bags, is running about 60 mins.

ME is one of those wonderful perks that keeps costs down, but also really gets you in the Disney mood from the get-go.

It really spoils you when you go to other places as well. The trip is not that long and there is a movie to watch, so the time goes by really fast. I would recommend it to everyone.
