It's my "End Of Chemo Party"
I mever thought I would get to this point and my Dr told me yesterday he didn't think so either.
But yesterday was my LAST CHEMO. I am feeling great right now and will until the steroids wear off tonight at around 8 pm. At that point I will be on the Percocet/Ativan every 8 hour diet until Monday.
I saw the radiation oncologist on Wednesday and I will be fitted for my body mold that I will lie in for each chemo and have my tattoos done on March 18th and radiation will start sometime in April. 37 doses every monday through Friday. I will be done in time for my planned trip to see the Mouse and others in May.
I still have lots of reconstruction to look forward to, but that can wait till I am ready for it. I had surgery last Friday to close up the wound that has been open for 4 months and I have had enough surgery for awhile. I am putting the rest off till the summer.
So even though I can't, everyone have a drink in my honor tonight at dinner.
And if you happen to be at Epcot, get a Margarita and enjoy it for me. I can promise you they might sell out in May when I get there. Peggie
