I'm so excited for you! Wish I was going again! That is the worst thing about coming home - knowing it will be a while before we can go back! Y'all are doing it right and going more than once a year.

I forgot to mention that we had the grey goose slushies for the first time, and they are just as good as everyone says they are. Thanks for tipping us off. I LOVE the orange ones! I'm sure you will find one for that first day, since they are so close to Canada.

Our first night we are at Le Cellier too! And.... THE SMORES ARE THE BEST DESSERT EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wont try anything else!!!!

The Smore's are YUMMY! Love the ice cream in there, that was a yummy surprise! HORRAY for your 9 days and my 3 days!!!!

Thanks!!! At my "work day" now, waiting to get checked out, I'm ready to hit the pool with the kids this afternoon.

Checking into the AKL, dinner at Le Cellier and having a cocktail while watching Illuminations sounds like heaven. Hopefully, the next two days of work will go by quickly for you.

I actually saw a special about with the Nik Hotel in it over the weekend and thought of you guys! The pool looks wicked awesome and the kids will have a blast there. I am glad the packing is going well and so jealous that you will be there on SUnday! Have a great trip and can't wait to hear about the trip! Oh and tomorrow is your last day of school!!!!

The kids saw that too and have been BEGGING to stay there all week, Tim and I just keep saying "maybe we could do that next year" they are going to go CRAZY when we stay there!

We'll be staying at AKV for the first time this coming December. Will you be at Jambo House or Kidani? I'm guessing Kidani?

AKV is such a beautiful resort. We are actually at Jambo, I like staying in the Main building with Boma, Jiko and the food court all close by : )

just got back from our GAD super quick trip! but had a blast, we did your suggestion of walking over to contempo after park close and catch a cab! BEST $16 spent!!! so fast and easy... I think in the future when we drive, we will be doing the valet for sure on certain days...

Did the dessert wishes party too... Are you guys doing that?? the new fireworks show and parade are AWESOME!!!! ME Bus drove past nick hotel and thought of you guys... Can't wait to hear all about it!

Sounds fun. We didn't end up scheduling the wishes party, I want to stay one night to see the parade and fireworks and I want to be up close for the parade so we'll skip the party and view everything up close, but maybe next trip. Glad the cab tip worked out for you!

I'm so excited. You would think I'm the one going Your first day sounds perfect. When we went in May, we stayed at Kidani and my boys loved it. My little one keeps asking when are we going back to the zoo hotel.

Too funny, it is like a zoo, just love it!

Oh, glad you tried the slushies, they are AMAZING!!!! I haven't tried the orange ones yet, maybe I'll have to get one of each this trip .

This time next week in Disney we will be enjoying a morning at Hollywood Studios

I'm sure we'll be there at rope drop! We will race with the masses to ride one of our family favorite, Toy Story Mania!

We'll have a little FRIENDLY family competition
We'll probably take in a fun parade and get down with our bad selves:

Sure hoping we take some family rides on Tower of Terror

(which, by the way, WAIT until you see my HANDSOME husband Tim in this years Trip Report, he has continued to loose a TON of weight by working out like CRAZY and eating right, SOOOO proud of him, you'll see a difference between last years and this years pictures)
and my FAVORITE Rockin' Roller coaster!

Then I'm sure we'll head back to the BEAUTIFUL Animal Kingdom Lodge Pool for a dip to cool off:

We really don't have definitive plans for that evening other than dinner at Kona which should be fun. We'll probably end up hitting Magic Kingdom and if we do you can be sure I will be enjoying one of these:

There are a WHOLE bunch of Disers including members of the Podcast team meeting at 6:00 at Magic Kingdom for a Dole Whip meet but our Kona ressies are at 6:15 so I don't think we'll be able to join them
That night I plan on enjoying the BRAND NEW Fireworks and experience the Electric Light Parade for the FIRST TIME!!!

CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your first night there with LeCellier & Illuminations (& drink) sounds like DH & I first night. We checked in at BC, went to Epcot & had an ADR for LeCellier at 4:55 then walked around after & got a Grand Marnier Slushie.

Your day at HS sounds great too. And we also had dinner at Kona. Very good!!

I found out today that one benefit of my DH's retirement is a good discount on park tickets. Whoo hoo!
