Timandlesley's ROAD TRIP TO DISNEY!! ARE WE THERE YET!?!6/28 TR is up, link on pg.47!

Can't wait to see your this tiime next week pictures.

This trip has come round so quick. Let the packing commence:banana:

Okay, you're a 'short-timer' now! I know you are excited!!! :woohoo: We just got back and had a great time. :goodvibes We drove past the surprise hotel a couple of times and the kids were very impressed and wanted to know if they could stay there sometime! :thumbsup2

You will probably have the same weather we did - highs in the 90's and showers often, especially in the afternoons. Most days that helped because it lowered the temp a little and cleared some people out of the parks, but one day we had showers on and off all day, and every time it felt like an oppressive steam bath afterwards. :scared1: Just keep the ponchos handy. I also had a very small umbrella that I normally carry in my purse, and that helped a lot. I also discovered that my rubber beach sun visor, worn over the hood of the poncho, kept it from flying off my head and kept the rain from running down my back!! That was a tip from someone on DIS, so thanks, whoever it was!!

The only thing we missed that I really hated was Wishes and Spectromagic. We didn't have hoppers so the two days we were in MK the rain interfered with us. You will get to see the Summer spectacular fireworks and the Electric Light Parade, so that will be lots of fun too! :cool1:

The very best thing about our trip was the "magic" fast passes that we got for volunteering. It was so great to go to those rides and get IMMEDIATE fast passes, even when they were all gone for the day. There were 8 of us who had done it so we had one for every day and one to spare that we used for the pins. We rode Toy Story Mania THREE times using those!! (We had gotten a regular FP for ToT and ridden RnR straight when we got there so didn't need them for those.) They would always have one FP terminal for the special FP cards even when no one else could get them. (Kali River wasn't using FP the day we were there, except for us.) The last day we even got to give some FP's away as we were leaving Epcot, because we hadn't used them all. That was nice, too. I hope they figure out a way to do that again in the future - we were spoiled! We did the Linus Project like you did because the kids could do it too. It was just a great program all around. :dance3:

I'm getting so excited for you as each day passes because I know how close that means you are to being back at your HAPPY PLACE!!!! :) I hope Tim's pre-packing test went well.....hope that trunk fits ALOT!!!! :)

What a great trip you had. We aren't poncho people but have been converted to umbrellas in the parks, thanks for the reminder though, I'll add that to the packing list! We are using our give a day get a day for 247 off of our annual pass renewal the but FP thing sounded GREAT! Did you get it for each park?? How did that work?

I'm getting so excited for you as each day passes because I know how close that means you are to being back at your HAPPY PLACE!!!! :) I hope Tim's pre-packing test went well.....hope that trunk fits ALOT!!!! :)
Thansk, can't wait!!!!!
Very cool! Can't wait to hear what you think of the Nick Hotel.
Thanks, I'll post a review of the Nick hotel with the TR : )

According to our countdown calendar, we leave for Orlando in FOUR DAYS!!!! I can't wait!
We got the bags out last night and started packing them. I took Diane's suggestion to put the kids things in Duffle bags so they would "give more" in the trunk, BRILLIANT suggestion, I was able to get all of the kids stuff into 2 duffle bags. That leaves 1 suitcae for me, 1 for Tim and 2 small carry on's for our 3 nights in hotels prior to checking into Disney. Still lots of laundry to do to get all of the clothes packed and ready, but we are getting there.
Today is my last day with students and then tomorrow is a work day and then SUMMER CAN BEGIN!!!!:cool1:
This time next week we will be checking into our home:

Checking into the AKL, dinner at Le Cellier and having a cocktail while watching Illuminations sounds like heaven. Hopefully, the next two days of work will go by quickly for you.

Hi guys, we leave on SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait. Tim is going to be getting the suitcases out tonight to see how many we can fit in the trunk, then it's time to fill them. We still have a list of things to buy. I went swimsuit shopping with Lauren yesterday and found her a cute one. They are off today and went to Brookville Lake to swim with Tim's family (who is also out of school) so they are having a great day in the sun. I'm out of school Thursday, can't wait!!!
