Under 2 weeks, so exciting
I think your idea of rolling over extra money into other envelopes day by day is great idea
Thanks!

Oh girl! I am excited for this trip and I'm not going!!! I saw the pics of the countdown on Facebook and had to come and say "Hi!". Keep us up to date please
Hello back at ya ; ) Thanks for stopping by!
So exciting that your vacation is so close!!! Hope the weather in the low 90's holds. We had mid 90's a few weeks ago (after i assured my husband it wouldn't be that hot if we went early in May).
Looking forward to a Tim and Lesley trip report!!
I hope so too, would be LOVELY! Thanks for reading!
Your plans look great Lesley! I have always wanted to see Blue Man group. I'm sure you will have a blast in the poncho section

. I can't wait to see what you think of the Nick hotel too. Your trip is getting close. I just started packing for ours today too

.
I will definitely give you details of Blue Man Group and Nick hotel, can't wait to try some new things. Enjoy packing, SO FUN!!!
You're going to Disney this month!!! In twelve days to be exact!!!
I like your envelope idea -- I may be borrowing that!
I KNOW, CAN'T WAIT!!! Borrow away : )
I hope I didn't hurt your feelings, I didn't mean you sounded funny.
I love the envelope idea you're using; that's a great way to stay disciplined!
No, you didn't, just checking ; ) Thanks!
Less than two weeks! Wow, your trip is coming up so quickly. I love the countdown calendar that you and Lauren did. She looks so proud of her work in the photo.
I think it should work out great for you to have the money all split up, with chance of "Rollover". Should be interesting to see how you use it.
It is, 11 days today!!!!!! The rollover money will be fun, we'll see how it works out.
Leslie:
Yay, you are getting closer!
I am glad you got the ressie for Blue Man Group. I am anxious to hear your review.
I am thinking of doing the Nick hotel next year so I look forward to that review as well.
I did the envelope thing the last trip and it really kept me on budget. We came home with money (more than normal). I always have the mousekeeping ready and the tips for our dining plan meals. This time, we are paying for some meals out of pocket so I will go ahead and have that money as well. I think you will find it will keep you on track. I like Tim's idea with the rollover envelope. I will have to try that as well.

It's great that Tim will help you with the packing. I would have a mess if Tom did that!
Erika
I'll give you details on Blue Man and Nick Hotel, we can't wait to experience both for the first time. Yes, Tim is the master packer, I make the lists and he gets it all together, great team work!
great idea with the money and envelopes, we usually do that to, but never thought about the carry over idea lol...
I will be there in 5 days only for 3 though, but better than nothing... wanted to ask , I know in the past you all have gotten cabs before, where do you get them at MK? thinking we will do that this time instead of waiting when all the kids want to do is get to bed!
Annette
Thanks! Actually we've never gotten a cab at MK, I would think they only leave from the Transportation and Ticket Center, I would walk over to the contemporary and get one.
Wooo hooo!!!
Yes, I know EXACTLY what you mean!

Take it from a Floridian - the only "accurate" forecast for summer is "maybe some rain, maybe some clouds, definitely some heat."
Yes, I know there will be a little of both, just can't wait to GET THERE!!! : )
Yes, I think the rollover envelope is a good idea. That's what I did recently. I also made sure to keep the receipts in each day's envelope just in case.
Thanks, sounds great, love the receipt idea too.
12 days!!
I love your envelope idea!!
Thanks!
The envelopes are a great thing to have....that is what I do each year, and it works out so well!!!!
Sorry that you have to be in school until you leave, but I am sure Tim will do a GREAT job of any task you give him!

You are so organized already, that everything is bound to fall right into place!
How exciting that your days are dwindling SOOOOOOOOOOO fast!!!! Before you know it, you will all be driving under that glorious WDW Resort sign!!!
We are leaving on the 19th for our OBX beachhouse trip, but getting ready for that is not nearly as fun as getting ready for WDW! Megan fell on Sunday and broke her arm, so going to the beach is REALLY going to be a challenge now. Tom even said last night, it is a shame we are going to the beach instead of WDW because she wouldn't be limited there.

( I wish we could change it, but we can't at this point---boo! So I can't wait to read all about your trip!
Yeah, this school year is just dragggginnnngggg, but it will be done soon and we'll be headed to WDW!!!! So sorry about Megan's arm, how awful. Is it a water proof cast at least?
I am excited right along with you!
I've been following your trip reports -- read them all!! I noticed you use cash rather than credit cards. Do you avoid them because using cash keeps you on budget? Just curious! I've been thinking of using the envelope system for my groceries for a month just to see if I can reign in my food spending. It is the #2 expense for us after our mortgage!
Right now I use a credit card for everything to get miles. But if I'm spending more because I have a credit card, it defeats the purpose of free plane tickets, right?
Can't wait to read your report!
Welcome back, glad you found us again for another trip.
For me, it is a headache if on vacation I have to worry constantly about how much money we are spending (I do all of our bills). We only use our check card so the money for our annual passes and dining plan will be on that, but the cash will help me keep track day to day to keep us on budget so I'm not constantly trying to check our checking account to make sure we aren't over spending daily, hope this makes sense?
