Tiggerdad's chasing squirrels at the Fort! Nov. 14-23

Hey T-dad,

Are you on the inner or outer loop in 1400? We stayed on the inner loop a long time ago. Don't remember the number, but it was the left hand site if you drove straight in from the main road.

It wasn't very deep either, but had quite a few trees and felt more isolated than the outer sites.

j

Teamubr,

That's the site we were in. Basketball court directly in front?
We have now moved to 1446, last outer loop site, on outside and very roomy.

Just left AK, heading to camper to check the football game and put up decorations.

I'll post park pics after we get home.

You are probably already back by now, but I don't think you will be happy.

It could be worse. You could have the Rams as your "home" team.

Roll Tide!

This vacation is getting better by the minute!

Why did I think you were a MS fan?

(Nothing but the sound of crickets chirping in the background...)

If you had confused my loyalty with Auburn or Tennessee I might have been inclined to commit a felony...

Buuuuttt...
This vacation is going too well for that.

I'll do some looping and Fort pics in the morning after I get my golfcart. Gotta go to the porch for wi-fi, no modems available.

Christmas decorations are up until 10 pm nightly.

Enjoying your TR. I hope the weather is nice for your trip.

I have a good friend that lives in Knoxville. He almost had me turned into a Big Orange fan until I saw how they were playing this year. :rotfl2:

And it's the Meridian, MS that threw me off. Couldn't figure out how someone from MS could be an Alabama fan. Besides, this is just college football. It's not like it's a real pro sport or anything. (He says running and hiding)

BTW, how are the squirrels treating you?

j

Good news, apparently there were a lot of checkouts today so I secured a cable modem. Now, on to the show.

This is my site after the Christmas decorations went up last night.

Went down to the Meadows to pick up the modem and got some pics from there as well.

Girls playing checkers...

Disney is really doing their part to fight alcoholism...I mean, if you can't afford it...

We are fixing to head out to the MK. Got the Christmas party tonight, so we'll be late coming in. I might be able to send some more pics as we go, if not I'll update in the morning before we head out again.

Tiggerdad, I guess your avatar is a little too subtle for Teamubr. :cheer2:

I was at the AL-MSU game. Here's a fore- and after-taste of what was going on.

Teams warming up.

Phone went into pocket for game.

We have seats up high and our strategy is to leave seats with a few minutes left in the game and watch remainder from the fence by the sidewalk behind the Bama sidelines so we can make a quick exit. Here is DD fenceside.

.

ESPN and the GameDay crew were in town for Saturday morning's show. The guest picker was former Navy Seal Marcus Luttrell who was the "Lone Survivor" of the book and movie fame. He picked the Tide. So did Coach Corso. In fact, Coach hung around to watch the game including the last few minutes just across the fence from us (in the center in the long black coat).

He left with an escort of about six members of the County Sheriff's department.

I like the pix of your new site. But I did see a square inch up front the did not have a blow up on it. SLIP-UPS LIKE THIS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. :santa: Need to pay attention sir.

Just kidding :upsidedow

Sure... Pick on the guy that races cars. The "A" could have been Arkansas, Arizona, Auburn (put that in just for fun), Allegheny Community College...

College sports around here just aren't a big deal. Sort of like sports car racing, for that matter.

Since I was clueless about the "A". What's this racing flag mean?

I saw it a lot last season.

And Tiggerdad. Great looking site. Is there any amperage left for the camper? Or do you have to unplug things if you want to use the microwave?

j

Yay! The cashew bribes must have worked to get the site you wanted. I hope you're having a blast!

Funny you said that, while I had the lady on the phone I did hear somebody in the background say "Hey, why are all these empty acorn pieces on the keyboard?"

Funny, I did notice when the wife was drying her hair that the inflatables leaned a little bit...

Ed, your pics are very cool and much appreciated. I only caught last 5 minutes of game. We left AK at the beginning of the 3rd quarter. I was on the verge of leading a mutiny and taking over the bus to hurry things up.

Cool you got to see Corso, would love to meet him.

That square inch was left open out of warning from other campers. While I was putting the stuff up no less than 3 different campers warned me that Fort management was getting real picky about the rules.

Tiggerdad, It was great meeting you saturday morning. Hope you and the family have a great time. The site pics look great, would have looked better in person. Reading along with everyone else.

Have a magical time, pixiedust:

Hey Medic, there's always next time. I'll provide the coffee then. Glad you made it home safe. They're giving stormy weather for us Monday.

Teamubr, you got me on the flag. It isn't NASCAR, F1 maybe?

Its a mechanical flag (otherwise called the meatball.) It's to tell the driver to head to the pits, something mechanical or physical has been observed wrong with your race car.

Sounds like a great trip so far and very nice site. We are 47 days from departure day, the excitement and planning is picking up while we also prep and handle the holidays and my mothers birthday. Already built the shopping list and started shopping the sales for the dry and durable goods.

Warn the squirrels, miss bug will be back on January 4th, and if they remember, she always gets the last bark in the argument (long story, but watched my 6# minpin and a squirrel argue for a good 5 minutes, of course she was at the end of her tie out and the squirrel was about 3 feet back from that line.
