I must admit that I don't remember seeing these on my previous trips to DL - but they seem to be a favorite here!

Quick question: are they just marshmallow filling and sugar coating or is it chocolate coating?

And would you recommend them as a must try? Are they considered Disney novelties?

Marshmallows coated in white chocolate, then coated with sugar and drizzled with chocolate. My favorite DL treat!

Still makes me sad that they don't have the orange chocolate coating anymore :(...they've replaced it with colored sugar, which doesn't work nearly as well IMHO. I have plans to make these at home one of these days.

And yes, I think they're still a DL-only treat.

Yes! Caramel after the marshmallow and before the white chocolate, then the orange sugar and finally chocolate stripes.

Being the choco-holic I am, I skip the tigger tails, and get the marshmellows, dipped in caramel, dipped in chocolate.

^^^^ This, I eat one a day when at DL. Yes extremely unhealthy. But hey I love them and they aren't as good anywhere else.

My BF doesn the same with Tigger Tails. :)

All of the goodies are great from the chocolate/candy shop outside of the Pooh ride and meet and greet. :wizard:

Ahh the Tiger Tails of old! So sad! They were soooo good! All they left us with is a sad sad imitation! The new tails are just glorified peeps on a stick! :crazy2:

I don't like the thought of the sugar coating, I would prefer chocolate. The crunch crunch of the sugar just doesn't do it for me, but the Hunny apples. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Yes CrazyDuck your right, so sad. I asked the CM at Pooh's Corner why they changed them. She said the Disney Nutrition Department started messing with lots of recipes, following McDonalds trying to make healthier options. Her exact words were "they don't get it." :tink:

Not in our family they aren't! Peeps are blah. The new tigger tails are quite different and as I wrote up in the blog a big hit with us! :thumbsup2

After reading your blog post HydroGuy (which was great by the way!) I think I just may have to try Cheshire Cat Tails when I'm there instead! I've never tried Tigger Tails in any incarnation and was planning to when I go this July... but now knowing there's an alternate Alice in Wonderland version my interest is doubly piqued! I've always had special love in my heart for the Alice characters. :) Thanks for the info!
