Arts and Crafts **Tie Dye Mickey ears shirts directions**NEW NEW PICS LAST PAGE**

Hi Pixiedust 32, I just love these t-shirts!!! I have tried them out and had a few that turn out perfect. Do you have any suggestions on how to get the Mickey head perfect. Sometimes the colors run a bit and my Mickey head gets a little sloppy. Any good tips???

Thanks for this wonderful idea!!!

You're welcome. You right indeed sometimes the mickey head comes out perfect and sometimes just not so pretty. I learned that it has to do with the quality of the fabric, the thicker the shirt is the better and tye the rubber bands as much as you can, I used at least 4.

Good Luck and have fun.

Alright, here are some pictures of shirt I just made, I really liked the way they turned out. The flash and the indoor light make the colors look different, like the purple looks pink, and some look washed out, but not a lot.

The first one is bright as it looks like, the colors turned out just the way I wanted. (Mini clue..its yours J) ;)
The other 6 are for the same family.

Thanks.

Roxy.

(the red looks orange, and the green looks more like turquoise) The real colors are: Navy blue Mickey head, red, green, yellow.

OK...I have to say that I have not been around the boards much because we had no WDW trip planned and coming here was depressing. But now with free dining we've booked a trip for right after Thanksgiving. And these shirts are just the BEST THINGS I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!

Thanks to the OP and everyone else who's been posting all the great details and hints. I'm a detail girl and like to know in advance what I'm getting myself into!

Pixiedust32- Awesome shirts! :thumbsup2

Did you outline your Mickey Head with a bleach pen to give it the white border?

I love your colors. Were they from a kit...like 3 primary colors that you mixed yourself, or from a place like Dharma where you bought individual colors?

I got a primary colors and I mixed them myself. The outline is done with a white pen. I can remember the name of the kit but I got it from Michaels.

These are my tester shirts, and I can't wait to do more! I used a Tulip kit from Michael's so the colors aren't as vibrant as I'd like, and I think next time I'll soak them in soda ash and then let them dry before scrunching them.

What kind of white pen? Is it a bleach pen or just a regular white pen? Where did you find it? Sorry for the tweny questions. I was trying to do the same thing with my shirts and I used a bleach pen and it just didn't seem to work out.
