Arts and Crafts **Tie Dye Mickey ears shirts directions**NEW NEW PICS LAST PAGE**

Hi everybody! Glad you guys like the shirts, they look so neat at the parks and CM always make good comments about them, besided I can ID my family in the crowds :lmao:

Sorry for the delay responding some e-mails. I can't mentioned anything about me making them here because I don't want to get in trouble, so just e-mail me if you have any questions about anything.

Here is me (hope not to scare anyone :rotfl: ) wearing a shirt I made for our trip last month.

Love the shirt! We were at Coronado too last month!!

I love this idea. I do have a really stupid question, you said you removed the bands, did you also remove the mickey head you had taped to the shirt? I know stupid question but I am not very crafty, but I really think I can do this one.

Another question, did you put anything in between the front/back of the shirt so that the bleach does not bleed through?

Yes ma'am, I did remove the Mickey Head that was taped, along with the rubber bands before washing.

And yes, I did put cardboard inside the shirt before spritzing with the bleach.

Hope yours comes out great!! I am sure it will... it was really easy!

Shirts look great, Love the pics that everyone is sharing!

I do all sorts of crafts and never before thought I could do tye dye, but these directions have me thinking I can and I intend on bying the supplies on our next trip to Michaels. For me that is a 30 minute drive, so it will have to be a planned outing.

check out the craft dept at your local walmart- if thats not 30 minutes away too. i went looking last week after spying the tye dye stuff at michales and found it, for about half the price.

I heard about these shirts and now I see this thread and I am so going to try and make one. Thank you so much for posting the instructions and the pictures are great! :laundy:

Oh I want to do it soon. :hippie:

Here are some shirts that we did for our trip in October. I like them ok, but I may try to redo them with a brighter color for the mickey head.

Those look amazing! Love the bright colors.

I'll recommend the fruit of the loom shirts from wal mart or target, the cotton is thicker and the thread count is better, it hold the dye better, the colors would look brighter and also the mickey head shows better.

I was just there tonight and yes they do have it, did not purchase it as I don't get paid for another week and things like that come out of my pay. Thanks for the suggestion.

I am so thinking I might make these! Thanks OP and everyone else for the tips! I am thinking tanks for the girls and T's for the boys. :goodvibes

I'm stoked to try this!!

Where can I find a template for the mickey head?

I think I searched "Mickey Head"... I found several pictures of the outline of Mickey's Head. I enlarged it to the size I wanted, and I just printed it out on Photo paper.
