We purchased 4 day Hopper passes for my wife and I last year. We used 3 days up. Our son was under 3 yrs old, thus was free. We each have one day remaining on our hopper passes.

We're going to be in Florida in August and thought we'd spend one or two days at WDW. If we only go for one day, I assume we could just purchase a one day admission for our son. I also assume that he would not be able to "park hop" that day?

If we stay for two days, I'm trying to figure out what our best option would be.

- Can you only "park hop" on mulit-day hopper passes?

- FastPass...Is FastPass only available for hopper passes, or can a one day admission us fastpass?

- Park Hopper Passes
- I discovered at the Disney Store shortly after the first of the year that the unused days left on the new hopper passes are not good forever like the ones we have. They said that you can purchase the "good forever" option once you're at the parks. Does anyone know what the cost is? (shame on you, Disney!) (If I had known about this change, I would've purchased 10 days worth of hopper passes last December!)

I greatly appreciate any help anyone can give us! :earsboy:

Jim, check out the FAQ on allears: http://allearsnet.com/pl/ticketchart.htm#MYW2

There actually is a one-day adult MYW with hopping for about $100. So if you got two of those and one two-day MYW for your son ($139), you wouldn't need to worry about buying the non-expire option. You'd just use up your passes and that's that.

Non-expiring option is about $75 extra per pass, I think. Haven't used it.

And Fastpass is for everyone who comes into the park!

Non-expiration varies with the number of days the pass originally came with. ten dollars for a 2 day pass, $59. for a seven day pass, or $107. for a longer, up to ten day, pass. You can add non-expiration later, within 13 days after first usage and before you return home.

>>> we could have bought 10 days of hopper passes in December
The ten day pass with hopping and non-expiration costs $367. it was not available until January 2005. I think ten days worth of older hopper passes cost more.

Hopping costs $37. regardless of the number of days originally on the pass or the number of days remaining if you add hopping a few days later. (Less for advance purchase from Disney and at some stores and travel agencies selling passes at a discount.) Try not to buy hopping for a one day pass ($64. without).

My point was that I would have purchased hopper passes prior to the change if I would've known. :)

Why? SeashoreCM is trying to point out to you that it costs less now to buy the same amount of days as you would have gotten had you bought the old PH's in December.

Old PH's from 2004:
adult: 2 - 5 day PH's (no plusses) @ $244.95 adv price = $489.90 for 10 days of park hopping tickets

child: 2 - 5 day PH's (no plusses) @ $185.32 adv price = $370.64

MYW PH tickets:
adult: 10 day advance purchase PH with no expiration = $353.58

child: 10 day advance purchase PH with no expiration = $312.05

Savings:
adult - $136.32 per 10 day MYW PH ticket
child - $58.59 per 10 day MYW PH ticket

All prices are advance purchase price and include tax.
