Hello all, Grumpy and I are making our first trip to the fort in June. We have a new camper and were taking the two daughters(no son's- inlaw) and the three grandchildren. We have always bought a room and ticket package for the other resorts. Always got a deal of some kind. With no deals at the fort, we need to buy the tickets from an outside vender.
Can anyone tell me if you can add tickets you buy from an outside vender, like the undercover tourist, to you room key.

Unfortunately no you will not be able to purchase from an outside vendor with your Keys to the World card. Have you thought about buying ahead of time on the Disney website, it is cheaper then when you arrive. If you are AAA they also offer a good deal.

You can build a package with tickets just like you do at other dis resorts.Doubt you could add tickets from an outside vender.

Actually, unless it has changed in recent years, yes you can!!

Once you arrive at the Fort and are checking in, just give them your tickets purchased at the vendor, and they will code them to your keys!!

We have done this several times in the past when staying at other resorts.

This is for new, unused tickets. Not sure if partially used tickets can be done this way. I know annual passes CANNOT be added to room keys.

We arrive on Friday so I will give it a shot and let you know, we purchased our tickets from Undercover Tourist. If they look at me cross-eyed when I ask I will blame clkelley and run(who am I kidding, it will be brisk walk).

Interesting. I did not know this. We might have to try this on our upcoming trip (atleast for the new unused tickets we're buying). It gets really ridick carrying around roomkeys and tickets-- wait, why do we even need a roomkey when staying at FW? Well anyway, it would still be better to have the tickets on a hard key instead of these paper tickets. LOL

:lmao: me too! (on all counts- including not running LOL)

Thanks everyone! Wish we were going on Friday. Can't wait to hear. I love charging to that room key and don't want to keep track of all that paper.

When we priced tickets on line last year they were the same price at the window at FW.

You need a room key to get into the comfort station between midnite and 6 am and also if you want to have charging to your room.

Undercover Tourist has always had prices much better than direct from WDW, especially if you join the Mousesavers newsletter and use the direct link from there.

100% true!!!:thumbsup2

We have used them 2 times and both times we bought 10 day non-expiry hoppers. We traded them for annual passes after we used them one time at one of the parks and got money back($96 this time!) :yay:

Flame, how far ahead did you buy your tickets?

The last couple of times we bought tickets from UT, they arrived within a week with standard shipping.

Unless I did something wrong Undercover Toruist is more than buying from Disney.
4 people 7 day park hopper
Disney $1112
Undercover $1136

The Disney Price is before tax. If you actually go to your shopping cart and view checkout, you'll notice that Disney's total price is $1184.28

Did you get a chance to check out adding the Undercover tickets to the room key?

The first time we bought the 10 day to exchange for AP's was in July for our Oct. trip. We wanted to buy them before Disney went up on the prices that Aug. We were afraid that UT would go up too and they did. The second time we bought them for our trip this past Nov. we got them just a couple of weeks before we left and they came by regular mail really fast(I think in about a week.):)

Bumping this thread....
I'm curious now because I've priced our October trip...
7 nights premium site, 4 days with PH and disney.com's price was $1392.
Got a quote from AAA today that's coming up ~120 less. It would certainly be helpful to put park tix on KTTW, certainly hope it's possible.
Either way - we'll be there either 10/3 - 10/10 or 10/17 - 10/26. Waiting on a call back from AAA to make our final decision!
YIPPEE!!

Sorry for the delay responding. I went to the front desk at FW when I arrived and they told me no problem. After about 20 minutes Lori said she couldn't do it for some reason. She verified the tickets were valid tickets but she said it would not let her for some reason. The next morning we arrived at Animal Kingdom and the tickets would not work, they sent us to Guest Services. After an hour they determined that the tickets were voided at the Fort Wilderness front desk. An hour later they added the tickets to our room keys and we were off. I lost 2 hours at the park for getting the tickets added, so if you are feeling lucky go for it.

I'm Sorry!
Thanks for letting us know. Not sure I want to risk losing the time, our first day will at Magic Kingdom and we have ARD's for CRT and I wouldn't want our Princesses to miss breakfast.
