An MC poster says that prices go up unannounced Sunday night at Midnight. Single day admission to $99 (non-hopper) / $155 (hopper). The post says small increases for all AP's except Premium Pass (rumored increase of $80 - $100.)

MouseSavers has gotten wind of an increase every year I can remember and send out an email usually on the Friday before an increase to those whom subscribe. I have heard nothing. Is this source reliable. Last year the price increase happened the first Sunday in June.

Historically true but not the case with the WDW increase in Feb. Mousesavers sent out the info on a Sat - after it was being posted on boards. Disney said nothing until the night before the increase. As for when increases are implemented for DL, they have been as early as May, as late as August, over the last 5 years so they clearly don't have a set month or even season in which to increase.

This is still just a rumor of course. We'll see what happens.

I don't buy it, a surprise increase wouldn't shock me but I don't believe they would ever do such a MASSIVE increase.

Disney has always raised prices by a couple dollars at a time, for them to all of the sudden jump up by $13 and $24 is unbelievable to me.

^^Disney did a massive price increase in 2012. A one day park hopper went from $105 to $125 overnight and the Premium AP went from $499 to $649. Disney is no stranger to massive increases.

The increases would be $7 and $18 respectively. The rumored parkhopper price is pretty high. Nothing would be unbelievable to me though.

It wasn't exactly overnight. it was announced on a Friday and implemented on Monday. And you could still find the old prices at several places online in the week or so after the increase. I remember that one well because we booked my 40th birthday trip as soon as the announcement was made to lock in the old ticket prices.

I've been holding out buying tickets for our trip in August hoping for a good ebates offer on Orbitz. Looks like I should stop waiting and just do it.

I just read this to my DH, whose first response was "that's crazy. And a big increase" and then follows with..."oh well. Who are we kidding. We'll pay it." Spoken like a true addict haha!
On a serious note, I hope its not that dramatic of an increase!

Last years increase is listed below. Adult prices in the center, 9 and under to the right. The big increase was to the Premier AP and to 1 day park hoppers. OK, tables don't work on this forum.... Trying again...

That seems much more possible, I was comparing to the kids prices.

I have a Premium AP and was hesitant to pay $669 but saw value in it because I do the RunDisney races and they fall on weekends not included with the cheaper AP's, if they add another $100 to that I'll probably pass next year.

It's amazing how quickly prices have gone up in the last decade, in 2001 a single day ticket was $43, in 2005 it was $56, by 2010 it was $76, now $92. If they keep up this pace a single day ticket will be over $200 by 2025.

Do you think that deals like "adults pay the kids price" or "buy 4 days get one free" will still be around after price increase? I understand it might be at a higher rate but those deals are pretty awesome.

*these are the ARES travel deals right now and I planned to mix and match for our trip in December.

If these rate increases continue DL is eventually going to feel some pain. I guess they plan on going up until attendance declines.:sad1: The bubble in SoCal real estate prices is starting to look as if its going to pop again in the next year or two. DL should be careful not to piss off the locals too much with the price hikes. But on the other hand the parks are always crowded now so maybe a hike would do some good in that respect. Time will tell.

No, they won't feel the pain. No matter how much they raise the prices, the parks are still packed (even in the so called "off season") and people will still pay it.

Disney is a business. Their goal is to make money. I don't like the increases, but I know 99% of the people who complain will still go anyway.

Prices are up:

$96 one day one park
$150 one day park hopper

$1,029 - premier
$699- Premium
$519- Deluxe

I live in SoCal. I went to check this out upon reading your comment. I can purchase the SoCal Select, but not the SoCal. Interesting.

Yes that is what I meant. I could purchase socal select but not Socal. I haven't read anything specific on it but considering I have never heard of a limit on how many they sell I am guessing it (soCal) has been discontinued.

That means it is either soCal Select or Delux for those guys now.

It will be an even worse nightmare on the SoCal Select non blocked out days if this pass has been stopped.
