I'm confused. I'm trying to figure out which tickets to buy for our three day stay. What is the difference between the 3 day flex pass and the regular 3 day admission? On the disneyland website they are both the same price($111). So what is the difference? Thanks for the help. Dawn

I believe the difference between the 3 day regular and the 3 day flex is this. The regular pass allows enterance into DL park only. The flex pass allowance enterence to both DL and DCA. Though you may only visit one park per day (no hopping)
Also the flex passes offer one day early entry.

Hoppers like those available at WDW are available only to resort guest. For those staying off property, there are no such passes at this time.

Christa,
I was on the verge of posting a question about whether parkhopper type passes are available for DL/DCA.
We are staying at GC in May, so now I know there is hope for us to park hop. The idea of being limited to one park per day wasn't sitting too well with me. I like the idea of being able to go to whichever park strikes my fancy at any given moment.
Anyway, thanks for giving us hope!
Janet

So why does Disney do this? (Limit off-site to only one park per day.)

Prices and features according to the 2001 Unofficial Guide to DL:

3 day flex is $76 per adult
3 day passport is $99, per adult
And they claim the three day flex passport costs the same as a two day passport, but is good for three days admission in a five day period. (And the same for the five flex pass is good for a seven day period).
The book also claims three day Flex passports are good for one early entry, during the three days.
It continues that a three day flex pass is good only for that five day period. On a regular two or three day pass, the unused days are good forever.
The flex passes are the only way guests can have EE, without buying package or staying on site.

Confused?
Anyone know if this is correct? <IMG SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif" alt="confused">

I went to the Disney web site. Three day passes are the same whether flex or non.
One park per day. That bites.
4-Day DC Tickets
Valid through December 31, 2001
$127
Ticket must be used within 14 days of first visit.

Gee, I'm answering (some) of my own questions. ;)
In case anyone was wondering:
I called WDTC 800#. The cost of two adult three-day flex passport park tickets is $242. The tickets, plus a mandatory $10 mailing fee and a flex feature. The flex feature is a character breakfast or a behind the scenes tour. That price is with the DC discount. (Once agin proving nothing is free from Disney -- esp flex features.)
Those three day tickets are good for seven days, one park per day.
