Ticket Advice - 1 member can’t go!

My DD’s boyfriend likely will not be able to attend our family trip in December. We have booked a 2BR for party of 7 - me, DH, DD1 and finance, DD2 and boyfriend, and DS. I already purchased park tickets (6 day direct from Disney) and have park reservations for the week. Usually, we purchase the room and ticket package, so I’m not sure what options, if any, I have. Am I completely out the $$$ for that ticket or can it be transferred for a future trip?

Ticket value at a minimum definitely can be used for a future trip. Depending on the circumstances you might also get lucky with guest services and get them to refund it entirely if you call them and explain what happenned. Given how much money you are otherwise spending I would bet they might just refund you, they are usually really good at working with people. Just be prepared for a long hold time.
